Does anyone have the camber reading machine thing that you simply slap it on?
I installed back my stock upper A arms (can't adjust camber), and would like to see what camber it gives.

I'm faced with little trouble.. while i was installing hood spacers, i stripped one of the four hood bolt holes. I tried the JB weld method but didn't work.
Could someone fix the bolt hole for me? i don't have a drill and tap to do it myself. i believe the hoood is FRP.
I"ll be more than happy if someone can enlarge all four bolt holes and tap threads for me. The original bolts that came with the spacers were too big for the hood bolt holes. So for now, i'm using smaller bolt studs. These studs are too skinny for how large the inner diameter is for the spacers.

Make sure u have a perfectly level spot to do your reading

i believe some camber readers don't require you to be on a flat spot.

OFF TOPIC: Do you know where i can find the rule book? i'd like to know if vented carbon hood kicks me out of BSP. vented hood won't make me go faster lol

I got my alignment done at Clark's with bad experience. One of couple of things is that the steering is not even close to straight.

Electronic one, you zero it to a long straightedge run along the floor with the car to average floor slope.

So you put your straight edge on two equal height "hats" (I use to ratchet sockets of equal heights) ... that are place where the wheels of one axle would be ... in order to calibrate to those positions? Placing a straight edge directly on the ground would be effected by local variations.

You could also use vinyl tiles to level those two areas using a bubble level ... to create a zero'ed area in your garage. Mark the two areas, noting how many tiles are required, and you then have a flat area to work on in the future.

I sold my electronic SmartCamber level. It was too much of a hassle zero'ing it out in all directions ... after I found that I could get equally accurate results using straight edge/ruler and a calculator with trig functions.

Are you in Orange County? I have a SmartCamber gauge and long level. I also have vinyl floor tiles you can use to easily create a level pad for your car, and I'll be working on alignment and suspension at my house tomorrow night and Friday night, if you want to stop by.

iphone 4, with an inclinometer/clinometer app.

You can get a fairly inexpensive digital level (from Sears, etc.) that reads to 0.1 degree. Measure the floor, measure the wheel, then subtract or add. No trig required, Palin spawn or otherwise.

i live in Irvine. I already got my alignment done. i don't feel like they did a good job though since the steering is still tilted to the left and i THINK i hear slight roaring sound when slowing down.I came out of the shop very unhappy with a broken rear toe bracket. It needs to be welded.
What kind of work do you do in your garage?

Even better is that they usually have a calibration button.

Calibrate on the floor, Then read the camber directly. No math needed.

Do you have a welding machine by any chance? preferably TIG
i need some little dabs of welds on my toe arm. The long stud that screws into the rod is slightly broken off from the end bracket. I'll bring the toe arm taken off from the car.

Sorry, no welder. There's no room in my garage for it!
