SCCA Member ship, change of region
My SCCA membership is up for renewal this month, does anybody know what it takes to change region from LA to SD when you have an address in the LA region?

Re: SCCA Member ship, change of region
Cant you simply call them?
I just joined up for the year ( on the phone ) & they asked me what region & I picked L.A. but they said it really made no difference, does it?

I used to be a San Diego member but I found myself running more at Cal Club events so I switched.Cam Correa wrote:Cant you simply call them?

Re: SCCA Member ship, change of region
By far your best bet.
Cam, "Region of Record" doesn't mean much, but each region sets their own dues that are on top of the SCCA fee. San Diego is a little cheaper than LA. Also there's been some questions in the past where the regional fees go in LA, most of which appears to fund road racing (although I don't think anyone knows any more in SD).

Re: SCCA Member ship, change of region
If I recall, some of the dues money comes back to us at solo. But even if it didn't, when Papa Cal Club books the Speedway they offer the inside lot to us at no charge so we can run very low cost practices. If nothing else, this makes them worthy of our support.Jayson Woodruff wrote:By far your best bet.Toby Larsson wrote:Thanks, I'll call and renew over the phone then.
