Rent a car! I am doing my best to get Kumho back in the game.... and provide some extra fun for a very large group of friends! Cal Club and San Diego. Heck the Funkana pays 200.00 for the driver and 200.00 for the navigator. ( golf Cart )

Somebody recently showed up to an event with a rented Corvette. Anybody know who's renting them? I used to get some cool cars through Beverly Hills Budget.

This event sounds great!

We could do an Annie Bauer and buy a vette... Then sell a vette 28 days later.

I'll take one of those!

Heck, you wouldn't even need to keep it that long!

(that said, I jumped in a Z06 for my runs at an event last weekend when the suspension slipped on my car - don't think I wasn't tempted to check autotrader for cars!) :gpower:

To give some perspective, the runway at Big Bear is 75" wide and 5800' long. Runways at El Toro are 250" wide and 1.5 - 2 miles long. The spot the Corvette Club uses must be the large taxiway/parking area just west of the terminal/parking area. On a busy weekend, I can't imagine them closing the taxiway, so take off 50' feet for that. Looks like about 1800' x 150' is what's left.

Every year the course is different but it also has some elements that are the same. It is very fun , You go out into a quick right then left like a Hard S
then a slite bend and into a 5 cone slalom, into a big sweeper out of the sweeper in to several off set gates and into another big sweeper right into the start and you go for a second lap..... after the second time through the off set gates you go into a couple of brain teasers and a nice long straight finish. it is a blast.
