How they calculate the treadware number is very subjective, so you can't really look at the number itself as a direct indicator of performance. I promise, the Dunlop is a good tire. I went through two sets of them before recently switching to the Hankooks (which are cheaper in my size). If you're going to be running with an HS, then Ron is right, there is no 140 treadware rule for the class, and you can run a tire like the Hankook Z214, which is basically a slick tire (also the Kumho V710 and Hoosier A6). However, I wouldn't recommend driving on the street with those tires, as they have no tread, which means you have to have a second set of wheels, and bring them to every event and change them out.
