Clutch Kit for 99 M Coupe S52

Post by Willy Lew »

HI All,

Just found out I need a new clutch kit and fly wheel for my 99 M coupe (S52). 90% street driving 10% auto-x. Just want your 2 cents.
Not planning any past 300 hp.

First, flywheel- stock, uuc flywheel, or JB racing flywheel. Any recommendations or experience??
Second, clutch kit, Stock sach clutch kit, UUC m5 clutch( stage 2), UUC kevlar kit,UUC organic kit,OS Giken Street, or OS Giken Gt single ?

I have a JB Machine flywheel with barely used Sachs clutch I was going to use for my E46 330Ci, it will fit your M coupe. I don't think I'm going to use it so if you're interested I'll give you a good deal on it.

Hi Toby,

Send me a email on how much you want for it. Is the sach clutch a OEM or HD?

As I used to work for them I am a bit bias, but the OS Giken GT(S) series of clutches are simply amazing.

As easy to drive as an OEM clutch (almost no vibration, easy to modulate), plus the clamping force benefits of a race clutch and lighter flywheel.
The GTS would be the softer of the single kits and provides for a lighter clutch pedal (very stock like).
For under 300whp, you would be fine.
