Jeff Stuart ... Please Report To Silverstone !

Post by Mako Koiwai »

He did it ... Jeff's on his way to follow in the steps of Bryan Heitkotter, as one of the 16 finalist in GT Academy!

Jeff came into the US Finals with the fastest qualifying time in the US, and ended up fourth overall. The idea being just to make sure you qualified for the Big Show. No need to fight it out and risk crashing and losing big time.

And, it looks like STR racer (2nd at the 2011 Nationals) Nicholas Barbato finished right behind Jeff, and will also be representing the Solo community

Karen and I spent hours watching the racing live on-line ... exciting, often very close racing, at tracks like SPA. The I guess automatic camera angles are usually awesome.

Nice Prizes for the Fastest ... fastest coming into the competition, Jeff ... and fastest person to qualify as the wild card AT the event. I believe that fellow actually gave away his prize to someone in line, so that he could get another run, to make sure he got into the competition, as the 33rd driver. That is he said he would give away his prize if he did qualify, by taking someone elses run ... and it worked.

The guy he gave it to ended up texting Patrick on Saturday and told him that he deserved to keep the rig, which was pretty awesome. Patrick is going to give him his old racing wheel though, since he's getting a new one with the rig.
