2013 Points Cards

Post by Kurt Rahn »

Hi all,

This is a reminder that tomorrow I will start taking points card renewals. Also, starting tomorrow, if you purchase a new points card, it'll be good for the rest of 2012 and all of 2013. Such a deal!

Just a refresher on how this process works. Between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31 you can renew your number and secure it for the next year. To purchase a points card, go here: http://www.solo2.com/PurchasePC.asp

On Jan. 1, your number is fair game and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The exception to this is the numbers in the protected range (1-199), which I will assign to people at my discretion based on a) how much you've competed in the last couple years, b) whether you are a competitor at national events where not having to have a new number made would be a benefit to you, and c) MOST IMPORTANTLY, how much you've assisted the region by contributing at events and generally being helpful. For instance, if you're the one helping clean up after the events, or you're the one volunteering to work the ProSolo challenges, or you're the first one to raise your hand when something is needed, your help will be rewarded. And vice versa.

Also please note that if you have a 1-199 number and haven't competed locally in the last three years, barring extenuating circumstances, your number will be made available. In other words, number squatting is no longer allowed.

Even though this is a sticky, I'm bumping it so it shows as a new post. If you're putting off renewing, time is running out. On January 1 at 12:01 a.m. your number is up for grabs. If you have a 1-99 number in particular, I'd renew now so you don't forget, because I've already had several requests for those numbers.

Not yet. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to look now without admin privileges.

Will just changed it so it displays 2013 points cards now, so everyone can see what's potentially available on 1/1/13.

About another week. Don't wait until the last minute, particularly if you're mailing a check in. I don't want to deal with any  , :mrt: or  .

Better late than never. I just renewed for both Sharon and I. Kurt, when you get a moment, can you confirm that I did it correctly and that we're good to go for 2013, same numbers, same club, etc. Thanks.

WOW! 4 - 1 digit, and 17 - 2 digit numbers available.

I'm going to guess this is a record number of unclaimed renewals, on "National" type numbers. Then again many of us run numbers Nationally different than we do locally, maybe they don't matter quite so much anymore.

94 is available as I type this. Just carry the 1 for SD and your co driver Nationally.
