Howard mentioned that they might go back to 140. Makes explaining it much easier, and the tires that would've been excluded are also some of the less expensive ones, so I'm pretty happy. Also happy that they made the decision pretty soon after nats, as I'm due for a new set and I didn't want to buy something before the final verdict was rendered.

Too late for me. When they banned all my RT tires, I said screw it and ordered Hoosiers. I did however test the Hankooks and Toyos at the same event and found the kooks 1.5 seconds faster than the now banned Toyo 195's.

I'm sure they had their reasons.

That sucks, because you'd have been about the only competition I'll have next year in RTF. I'll have to try and get Morgan to come out and play if he doesn't sell his car.

I don't have any legal tires for the rear but if I score a couple of used up take-offs I might do an occasional RTF just to see if I'm learning anything.

Just wondering what RT cars use the 195/50/15 Toyo and are so dominate that this tire size needs to be excluded?
