Not directly applicable to you guys down in SoCal, but good news in general:

This first intended event, pending crossing t's and dotting i's, sure could be a good warm up for Nationals

Was the "sleep on site" question ever answered?

There is a strict, and relatively low, limit on allowed overnighters for this trial event. I'm not certain how it will be managed. I can't drive because of my cycling accident, so I am going to serve as Paddock Chief and will provide detail when available. There are some camping options nearby, same type of deal as El Toro.

Was out at the site this morning...pic below represents ~20% of the available surface. It is an amazing site.

And only a quick tow over the Grapevine ;)
Keeping fingers crossed this site becomes a long term option. I know there's a placeholder for a November Match Tour, already, but the possibility of Tours, Pros and two day AAS events is exciting.

How abrasive do you think it'll be, Mike? Grip level/characteristics compared to Lincoln? Thanks! (Signed up for both days).

Bill, in general, I'm going to put the surface on the more highly abrasive side, much as Atwater was when first used for Solo. However, there are some differences in the top level aggregate, so areas of the site will differ. I do think it will prove to be very similar to Lincoln, once seasoned.
Keeping my fingers crossed we get the green light on this site, long term...it could be AWESOME.

You know how the Eskimos are supposed to have 30 different words for snow? Do you think it's the same for autocrossers with concrete and asphalt?

Does a bberry have that? I dunno...not exactly down with the bberry functionality, all I do is make phone calls and ignore emailsMako Koiwai wrote:@Mike ... use Panorama mode!
Looks like we're getting fairly close to the cap (225) for the August event, sign up if you're on the fence!
Also, the test and tune on Saturday is going to be split into two 40-45 second courses to allow maximum seat time.
