Alex Sanchez wrote:Now that we have this great function where we can add pics to our threads, I thought it would be a good time to discuss what cars you admire.

Although I don't see these cars too often, I have a great sense of fondness when I do:

John Williams 240Z: loud muffler, loud brakes, and it's carborn-fiber jewelry
John Fendel 68 Mustang: The nicest example of shiny wheels on a Mustang in that OG mixed matched style.
Mike Nakata's Supra: Finest example of it's breed.
Jason Uyeda: Awsome ITB's on an S2K.
Doug Teulie VW Scirocco: The paint on the inside is nicer that the paint on the outside of some people's car; including my own.
John Edwards 850 Fiat Sedan: So cute, Sooo cute!
And those Ferrari 360's: The full-throttle sound is like porn for my ears!

Am I the only one who comes to the events to see these cars as well as to compete?

That's it for now..
Thanks for the vote on the Scirocco.
I think you are talking about this one:

Thanks everyone for your kind comments about the Fiat 850 Sedan. It's lots of fun to run and I'm glad there are so many out there in SOLO land that vist the car and give it a pat on the backside. Needless to say, the car is a work in progress and will keep improving as time permits. My shop clients call it the Great White Hope. I have more pix of the car and videos posted on StreetFire.net >> user: enginemachining AND several videos on YouTube >> user: fiatnutz

Had a good time at the event on the 25th. It was kind of a crazy day, started @ Fontana and then drove to San Diego to Qualcomm. 2 events in one day, lots of fun, lots of driving. The great thing about SD, we had 4 Fiats running at the same event - a new worlds record I think. My frined Craig Way will be bringing his 850 Spyder up north this weekend, now if Alex can get the X running in time...

I hope Craig runs his car in HIST so I can see it from on course! Two 850s in one run group would be historic. I love seeing the Fiats run, gets me motivated to do something with the dilapidated examples I have in the garage!

This list, and my visit the other night to the LCS lot, is really making me feel nostalgic. There aren't a whole lotta cars left in Solo with the "personality" of the car above.

Eh, give it another 10 years and the cars of today will magically have personality. ;)

Maybe. 20 years ago, Endicott's CRX was another little Honda sh!tbox with some nice wheels (Revolutions FTW!) and sticky tires, like my Civic today. It didn't have the personality of the Lewis TR6 which was 10 years older. If Bob brought that car out to the next event, we would be all over it, saying how cool it is.
