Solo $

Post by Brian Howlett »

What's happening to the Solo $ program? Registration never seems to have an updated list.

Brian,

We're actually in the process of shifting some responsibilities and formatting so that registration will always be able to access updated sheets, either via hard copy or on a website. It may take a few months to get fully integrated, but we hope to have this issue resolved soon.

I was told at registration Sunday that it'd be ready at the next event.

Yes, we'll have it for the next event.

Sorry everyone. We're shifting it from one person to another - me - and when I was working on updating it Saturday, it looked like there was bad data for the earlier events.

We're working on correcting that, and once that is done I can update for the February and March events.

Cool!

So, as I understand it by default we earn Solo$ instead of trophies, right?

How many Solo$ is each trophy worth?

What is the process for redeeming the Solo$?

1.) You choose your trophy preference in Motorsports Reg. Rick can probably answer which option is default on a new registrant.

2.) $10.00...but IMHO I think that should be re-looked at. Once upon a time it was worth the cost of an actual trophy, and/or 1/2 your registration fee. Trophy costs have gone up,as have registration fees. As a competitor I'd like it revised to closer represent an equal value, vs. more a cost savings measure for the organization that it has become.

3.) Ask at registration to apply your solo$ (pronounced: solo bucks) to your registration fees.
- It was talked about long ago to be able to apply the Solo$ in Motorsports Reg. I don't know it that ever became, or can become a reality... but it was a great idea.

No longer an option. The default is Solo$.

I believe we are still getting the trophies in the $10 range.

Currently no realistic way to do it in MSR.
