Tire Mounting needed at El Toro Pro

Post by Justin Tsang »

Hi, i need to get a set of tires mounted on Friday. Is there a tire mounter that I can use close by the site? We can do the mounting if there is a machine available, but the wheels are on the car right now.

If not, is there a shop close by that can do it?

There is a map showing some of the services around El Toro on the Solo2 web site under the Event Locations tab.
There is a Big O tire store on Irvine Center Drive near Research Drive that is open during the week and on Saturday and Sunday.

I use Your Dream Garage in Baldwin Park.

$15/hr to use their tire machine.

Dream Garage is 41 miles from El Toro. Can be some heavy traffic too.

And 86miles from Carlsbad. What kinda bogus recommendation was that  ?

You can google search around to find one, they're all a little farther than you want them to be.

Keep in mind, it's no easy task getting in and out of El Toro or driving the local surface streets. Leave yourself LOTS of time buffer. The trip to Big O John quoted could easily be a 30+min each way if you hit Friday rush (which starts Thursday and ends Sunday).

I use Action Tire in Mission Viejo. About 60 bucks for a set.

I use the same place--they are a bunch of good guys who will give you what you ask for, although I think Richard is getting a little sweeter deal than I get. ;)

Big O on Irvine Center has mounted many of my competition tires. Great service and reasonable prices.
