Front suspension question for GS

I've read before that this is legal for GS class but I guess at this point i want to triple check before taking the final plunge.

The 14/15 Focus ST models have no front suspension support from Koni or Bilstein due to parts being developed during the 13 model when the perch was different. I was told a way around this would be to gut a stock strut and put in a koni as a custom job, like this link.

This will be alright for GS correct?

Also if it is does anyone know of a shop that would do this? I'd prefer to give my business to someone tied to SCCA.

Completely legal - my front struts on the Lolantra are stock struts that are gutted, then i used the Koni insert. I'm not sure who could do that here, maybe Jeff at ProParts?

Yup. Although I like the idea of using a Bilstein B6/B8 shock and having Guy Ankeny convert to adjustable. Give FRSport a call. This would be your best option IMO. :D

Did you see my facebook message Jon? It might be hidden but I was asking you if you still had your stock front stuff and if you wanted to sell it

Actually FRSport would be a good option I work less than a mile from them. Might have to go Bilstein then, thanks for the info :)

Were you able to install the Bilstein shock? Did you choose B6 or B8?
