2016 Team Pickem Challenge

Post by Christine Grice »

AKA Fantasy Autocross (like fantasy football but instead of football players, we pick autocrossers)

For years now we have been submitting teams at registration or by email or private forum. This year CASOC and SCNAX have decided to post the picks here for the world to see and the other teams are welcomed to join in on the fun. Good luck to all! We will be posting new picks before each event. Each team picks 5 drivers and an alternate. The team earns the same amount of points that each driver earns in class.

January Picks:

CASOC Team (as submitted on our forums Sat 1/16 at 6:47pm)
Tom Berry
Steve Strand
Brandon Porambo
Julian Manolov
Stanley Kowalski
Alt: Adrian Cardenas

SCNAX Team (I have photo proof of the team submitted to registration if needed)
Jeff Wong
Travis Sackwar
Byron Goodman
Kai Hur
Mike Yanase
Alt: Catherine Tran

Good idea, but do we need a cutoff time for submitting? Is editing allowed? I know this is late, but not being there and only having 6 people to choose from this is the only people I could submit:
Michael Oest #149 CSM
Tom Tanquary #705 AS
Curt Luther #9 AS
Kathy Teulie #96 BS
Dane Kalman #97 JA
Alt-Cyan Kalman #197 JA

Since the posts are time stamped, I've always used that as proof that I submitted the team on time, Sunday morning 9am ish. It also shows a time stamp if you edit your post, so that covers any last minute changes you make on Sunday morning. I'll let John determine if he will take your excuse for the late submittal.

Hey Rick! I got some word that Oest ran out of class and did not inform his CSM competitors, as I guess he ran in the morning before some/all of them arrived??
Would you mind checking on that and revise accordingly??

Not completely sure what the rules or proceedures are on running out of class for point events without consent. What I see in the rules and what I see in practice seem to differ.

Maybe someone can shed some light on this subject?

Thanks!!

Edit: Also heard that Oest was running in XP? If so that would be the correct run group and just possibably a registration error.

Thanks everyone for your comments.
I pulled down the CASOC before the 7:38 PM update. That is now corrected.
I also have the SCNAX team now.
There are a couple of other moving parts that I'm trying to track down.
When I have all the correct information, I will post an updated team points file.
Hopefully soon.
