Significant changes are coming to our Junior Kart program nationwide in 2018.
These changes will be introduced in a Junior Kart Townhall on the evening of July 25th @6pm. Please pre-register.
All parents should plan to attend this Townhall (as well as Teen participants in my opinion).
I also think this will be of interest to Event Organizers and core members. Changes to how we run our Junior program will be implemented that will affect event operation.

Re: Junior Karts Town Hall Important changes in 2018
I'm helping a couple of new to SCCA families get onto JC karts. This topic may be in the town hall agenda, but found out the track kid kart class has swapped out to the Honda 4 stroke engine. Probably should add this engine to the JC class, and grandfather the Comer 50/51 indefinitely? Could be in the rules already, but just wanted to mention it. Thanks for your KAC work Steve!

Both the Honda GX50 and the Comer 50/51 are legal for JC now.
And if getting a fresh start... I highly recommend the Honda!!!
