Could you explain what happens?

As you register, it should take you to the payment section where you can choose either to pay by check or credit card. Even if on the final attendee list, you will not be charged until the day before the event. Once charged, pending extraordinary circumstances, there are no refunds.

While I know that motorsportreg does not use paypal, I can tell you that paypal doesn't accept debit cards even though they may have a VISA logo on them. Out of curiosity, are you trying to use a debit card?

Debit cards are attached to a checking account and PayPal does do EFT's from my checking account.... In fact they would rather do it that way.

But if the entry is being held, a EFT would not work!!!!

Don, it looks like an EFT will work. We will just initiate the transfer after the cancellation deadline if that person is on the entry list.

Bill - call either me or George and walk us through what is happening. If it worked for the PSCC event, it should work for this.

Dumb question, for some reason I thought in addition to registering for the waiting list for the practice, I thought I had already registered for Sunday's championship. However when I went to look for the entry list, I didn't see the event listed. Has that gone on the system, did I go off course somewhere?

Thanks

Registration for the Championship has not been posted yet. Maybe you are so excited that you are remembering signing up for the last championship? ;)

Is your name you registered under exactly as it is on your scca card?

Has it expired?

There may be a problem at the national office. Have you checked?

Look on you card, did you use Alan or Pui? On the registration page, you have Pui in parenthesis. Is that how it is on your SCCA card? It has to be exact.

We've had several issues with people buying SCCA cards with legal names and then registering under nicknames or shortened more common versions of their name.

I suggest that next time you buy your card, make it easy on everyone by using the name by which we know you. Long legal names are not necessary.

I am in the SCCA system as:

Paul David Barrish Jr.

Our local system worked when I update to my full name.

Paulie only works if I am a "Gumba" in the family. My father is "Paul". My name is David.

Be very careful what you name your children.

Alan, I changed you name to Pui and your membership was verified. If you prefer to use Alan, I think you can edit you SCCA information online. For this event, you're Pui.

I was helping someone w/ registering for the event. I just noticed that when you add a vehicle, for the car number, it just states "Enter 3 numbers in order of preference."

I checked around the site & "600-699 number" text is mentioned on the championship registration page (just on the main page, not when they add a vehicle), but not the practice registration page. Probably won't be an issue since it doesn't "pre-fill" the registration page like it looks like it's suppose to, but nevertheless.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is perhaps also add the "600-699" text on the add vehicle page under preferred numbers.

First, we don't use numbers at practices.

Second, all those members who have registered so far on the site now have their numbers reserved so no one else can use them. We are working on locking out the rest, too.

I understand that. I'm just pointing out that it provided some confusion for someone who is not familiar w/ how everything works, for whom I believe you are trying to make the registration process more friendly.
