I wanted to try something new, so for the November event I am doing a live meeting/webinar breaking down the course. I will be fielding questions about the best lines for the course, doing video reviews (you can send me a link to yours after the event), and just generally being helpful.

There is no cost to participate.

It will take place Tuesday November 12th @ 7:00pm and will be limited to 40 minutes.

Sounds like a good idea.
I work till 8pm so likely will not be able to participate unless I get done early.
But I will post up my video as I have been doing lately.
Any chance you can record and upload your webinar?

Here is my 3rd run with a cone. Cleaned up the mistakes on a fourth run but picked up a cone.

This is very cool of Anthony to host. Anybody who is participating in our events should join the seminar. Anthony knows his stuff, and figuring out the right line is one of the fundamentals required to achieve your best results.

Thanks Anthony for doing this.

PS Adding this: did anyone else *not* know exactly what to do in the first 180? I tried a few different lines and wasn't really happy with any of them. My fastest lap, I was out in the marbles...

So. It turns out that setting up didnt get much, within a tenth either way. What I made up for in speed, I sacrificed in adding 14 feet.

I felt like this course really rewarded getting your braking done early and committing to powering out of the corners. The straights seemed to provide big payoffs if you could get on the gas early and ride the speed all the way through the fast sections. I was really struggling to put the power down and keep the rear end facing the right way so it was a great challenge overall!

Indeed Reed. Only after I had trouble braking did I start to watch other cars on the course. It turns out, if your tires are not on the ground, they dont grip well.

The big thing I worked with on people who asked for ride along's was fighting the urge to attack the corner entry and instead look to increase exit speeds. The final corner on Sunday was especially bad as folks wouldn't set up off the final eyebrow and then would panic as the wall rapidly approached their bumpers! Waiting just a fraction of a second longer before initiating your turn in would make all the difference in your ability to power out past the apex.

The "Chris Teague" rule! He always says if you aren't sure what to do, drive the short line.

Easy to remember when it rhymes. When in doubt, take the short route.
