Depending on how desperate you are, Sacramento chapter has a two day autox at Thunderhill weekend after next. They're accepting pre-entries, so probably a go.

AAS is scheduled for a 2-day at Crows first weekend in June.

If Buttonwillow is also open, maybe revisit the kart track event that was talked about a few months ago.

Not a bad idea Bill. At this point Buttonwillow in the summer may still attract enough people.

We could also look at renting out the skid/drift pad at Willow Springs as well. It's gonna be hot everywhere but I'm sure we can get some people to still come out.

Too bad we couldn't have done it today. It's a bit breezy and 68* up here. I actually put a jacket on to work outside.

Sac Chapter events are open to all SCCA, but their registration site seems not outsider friendly. My son is a member, so let me know if you hit a road-block.

Hey Bill,

Do you know if the event last weekend at TH happened? Looks like Stanislaus County is not allowing any events at Crows.... You can have a SWAP MEET under their expanded stage 2.... But apparently an autox is too risky. Sheesh.

Looking at doing the June event at TH if their events are actually occurring.

Thanks again!
Jason

Just confirmed that the May 23-24 event at TH did occur without any issues. So if we can ever find a venue.....

ACS has contacted us with an updated request for our COVID response plan. Over the weekend I drafted up a new document using the San Diego Region's plan as a template.

Hopefully we can get that sent over to the Speedway an in turn, get dates reconfirmed on our calendar. Fingers crossed!

I'm doing an even in Fresno on June 13th. I'll share what happens there.

Thanks,

Checked their FB event page:

No mask, no entry
No spectators
Entry limit 50
No walk-in registration

And both days are full

Since SB county appears to have its head firmly where the sun does not shine.... Have we reached back out to the other potential venues? It seems the drive up testing centers are starting to close down (so maybe Storm stadium has?).

And I wanted to say thanks to everyone involved in trying to get us an event, and sorry if I ask too many questions about what's happening in that regard.

Thanks,
Jason

At the moment we do not have alternative venues, of any kind. You can watch SD regions website to see if they have made any progress with storm stadium.
