More El Toro Div Info, Attn everyone

Post by Jayson Woodruff »

Well, we're just about to break the 200 barrier. Pre-reg is going well, don't procrastinate.

If anyone has changes to make, it's much easier to accomidate them now than on Fri/Saturday. So please don't wait.
HIST INFO
I couldn't leave you guys out in the cold. So I'm announcing a new prize structure for Historic. Nice and simple:
1st - $100 cash
2nd - $50 gift certificate
3rd - $25 gift certificate

Don't ask what the gift certificate, I haven't figured that out yet.

Div Dual info:
I'm making a slight change to the DivDual program (SK and CSM only) that should result in more trophy positions. Instead of basing the number of trophies on 'Qualifying Driver's', the number of trophies will be based on 'Average Entrants'. You still have to have raced both venues to qualify for a prize though.

Sk1 is at an average of 2.5, SK2 at 6.5 and CSM/SU at 5

Here's the payout table again:

Ave Drivers, Places Paid
----1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th
<3 -- 0 0 0 0 0
3 -- $75 0 0 0 0
4+ -- $125 $75 0 0 0
6+ -- $200 $125 $75 0 0
9+ -- $200 $125 $75 $50 0
12+ -- $200 $125 $75 $50 $25

Keep them coming!!

< 3 average in SK1 = $0 ??
Or do we default to $75 for first place?

Gotta give me some form of a carrot :)

Carrot is the money. Pole is to get another SK1 driver to sign up to bring the average up to 3.

Goal should be to get 6 total SK1's at El Toro. Then you hit a 4 avg and both Pete and KJ are guaranteed some ducets.

KJ got a little taste of blood in the water in SD. He'll be tough to fend off.

If you run out of ideas Jayson, ChaseCam would be happy to supply gift certificates.

We need more CSM entrants on Saturday.

This idea I like. Time to go see who 'usually' competes and send a few messages.

Armor All - for that Hella Sweet shine on the treads - doubles as a "quick draw" laxative, right? ;-)

We'll see guys. KJ and I had a blast overall doing the math on the fly and guessing who was leading who :)
Taking 2 cones on my fastest run from sat. REALLY put me in a whole though for Sun.

I feel confident I can keep a 1 second advantage on KJ each day in El Toro.
Of which would be an overall win, crossing fingers. That has a slight safety margin in it too.

I have a trick to add too Jason. Guy A. gave me a setup tip after wathcing me on course HE HE.
Very cool to have your shock builder on course for feedback

Pete, I was on course also, sound meter, and I do hope that Guy figured out how to keep that car from plowing through those fast corners.... }:) I think that you were the only one to take out two of the three cones right in front of the meter....

Is that 1 sec before or after the index? I think you need 1 sec on him raw just to be even on the index. So if you need to beat him by 1 per day, that could mean 2 secs a day raw time. Pax is great. :barf:

The setup tip should help rear grip Jason
I tried to not lift there and got a bit side ways over there, 2 x
First time cones, second time no cones on Sun. Just scrubbed some speed unneccesarily.

I am .9 out of first too Jason. It's about .3 or .4 index difference between AS and BS depending on course length.
So to make up .9 over two days add all that up and it's about 2 seconds total.

I think your math might be off a bit on the index: http://www.ivliberty.com/cars/pax.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (I think Pax is junk, but this is a cool tool someone made up)

Based on BS running a 60 sec run you need a 59.287 just to tie.

Thanks Jason, nice website.
My new simple plan is to drive clean but agressive, not all looney

It will be interesting to see if those fresh off the plane semi-cantilevered 295-30-18 Dunlop Direzza's KJ will be testing for Sports Car will help with putting all that massive 90ftlbs of torque to the ground.
