and I thought white men couldn't jump...
Re: Divisional Photos
here's mine
i've done no cropping, nor picking through for focused pictures.. it was the only way i was going to be able to put up the almost 1000 pictures from sat.
also, ignore the "skin" of the layout.. it was the easiest way to show the pictures without really bogging the loading time.
if you see a picture you want, PM me the file number and your e-mail, and i'll check out the full size pic to see if it's in focus.
(edit: err, right click on the picture, and copy down the 4 digit number, i thought it gave you the img number by hovering over the thumbs, but i guess it doesn't)
so.. sunburnt.. Marshall owes me something for this.

Re: Divisional Photos
Jeff, thanks for the pics of the Noble. It really helps in setup to see what the car is doing under load, plus the pics of us driving to the big balloon are awesome.

no problem. It was a lot of fun watching that car have its go around the course.Randy Chase wrote:Jeff, thanks for the pics of the Noble. It really helps in setup to see what the car is doing under load, plus the pics of us driving to the big balloon are awesome.
all the timing snaffo aside, it was a really fun day. Makes me wish I had a car to run again.
Next time, i'll actually plan to stay for more than a few hours, and actually dress and prepare (sunblock, hat) accordingly. This sunburn is really unpleasant.

Re: Divisional Photos
does that have a way to adjust brake bias? i don't know how it felt, but the front wheel lock under braking was fantastic definitely one of the most fun cars to listen to on a run.Randy Chase wrote:Jeff, thanks for the pics of the Noble. my nominee for "Most Fun To Watch Run"Ethan West wrote:Awww, I missed out on another Crown Vic?!
it's only paranoia if your wrong
Re: Divisional Photos
After a quick look under the hood, it looked to me like it was turbocharged (unless that turbo shaped thing at the front left was some sort of intake runner or something). Never figured out why it was driven by a belt, though. Didn't look like any supercharger I've ever seen.Ethan West wrote:Awww, I missed out on another Crown Vic?!

Oversteer is better than understeer because you don't see the tree you're hitting.

More fun to listen to it from the driver's seat.Chuck Fowler wrote:does that have a way to adjust brake bias? i don't know how it felt, but the front wheel lock under braking was fantastic definitely one of the most fun cars to listen to on a run.Randy Chase wrote:Jeff, thanks for the pics of the Noble. I will probably work on the brake bias. I could just change pads (such as going to grippier pads in the rear). Lots of stuff to do. Number one is fixing the power steering fluid reservoir so that it does not spit fluid out and get on the rear tires. THAT was fun. Whee....

Re: Divisional Photos
Unless he added forced induction himself, (which is likely since I see he ran is CSM) all Police Interceptors come standard with 4.6 liter SOHC NA V8 goodness.Kurt Rahn wrote:After a quick look under the hood, it looked to me like it was turbocharged (unless that turbo shaped thing at the front left was some sort of intake runner or something). Re: Divisional Photos
Whether or not it was turbo- or supercharged, it was heavily modified. I wish he'd been there when I went by to talk to. He must have been wandering...it was during impound.Unless he added forced induction himself, (which is likely since I see he ran is CSM) all Police Interceptors come standard with 4.6 liter SOHC NA V8 goodness.

There was a Vortech badge on the back, so I'd guess it's Supercharged...

Re: Divisional Photos
So this is what it feels like to have ones thread hijacked!
Patty recovered from losing the keys to her mom's Jetta race car Sunday morning by doing a couple of laps with Michael's Red Sweeper Pig and then doing something like a 10 second faster lap in Kurt's Public Racer to still win the Divisional:
(I think the SK1 leading S2000 driver also had a Key moment on Sunday, had to go back home to retrieve his keys and got back with just five minutes to spare. I guess this is why they call this Amateur racing. How about a magnetic hide-away key!?)
