Disclaimer, I am a novice and this would be the first time for this task.
Have you done a tour in the past? I guess I should make that a prerequisite since it will be very helpful if the person understands how impound and grid work and when the impound folks would need to be checked in, etc. There will be a lot of folks at this event that haven't dealt with any of these procedures before and you'll need to be able answer at least their basic questions about the who, what, where and how of the work assignments. For sunday it isn't quite as big a deal since most folks will already have done their jobs once in Saturday.

Oh, and Max you're in.

Nope first tour. I have done two practices, 3 regular championships (one was a DNS) and the Pro Solo. Currently I have worked radio, cone chaser, tech inspection. Understand if I am not the right person, and have no problem being turned down. Just trying to give back a little for all the help I have gotten in just the couple of months I have been coming out.

Ok, well we'll see if anyone else volunteers in the next day or two.

Actually I usually buy the Dummies guide, there was one time when I had a hard time understanding the Dummies guide to Access, and thought I was going to have to return it and admit to needing the Idiots guide, but I worked it out. I might be more qualified than I thought here. Would be glad to spend time on Satuday learing however.

Scroll to the bottom for Divisional contingency info. Toyo and Bridgestone pay.

Glad you are coming! See you and the rest of the SF gang there.

I am wondering about the Kumho contingency... To my knowledge no one that ran Kumhos got paid for the last SoPac Divisional they offered contingency for. :unimpressed:

It will depend on the # of entries. Our intention is to pay out everything beyond actual expenses, no profit for the region. So the more people you bring with you the more you can win! :D

As Rick said, all money collected from entry fees and sponsors will be returned in the form of cash awards after all expenses are met. The exact amounts are yet to be determined. Expect anywhere from $50 - $150 for a class win depending on levels of participation.

What are the sticker requirements from any of the sponsors?

I see tirerack is one, are we required to run the window banner?

What else?

The usual tour stuff will apply. TIRERACK for the windshield, SCCA wagon wheel on the front, a divisional sticker on each side, a SoPac Divisional sticker on each side, plus your contingency stickers.

For anyone concerned about sticking stuff to their car, you are allowed to slick the stickers on magnetic sheet. Perhaps if there is interest Mr. Woodruff or Mr. Brown would bring some out to sell.

Or you can just make sure you have a fresh coat of wax where you are putting the sticker. Then, before applying the sticker to the car, apply it to your t-shirt first. This will lower the tack level to where it will come right off the car when we're done.

I know George sent me a list, but it was incomplete.

For the sanction, I need to know :

Event Master : George
Safety Steward : Ken Lord
Youth Steward : Steve E
Chief of Waivers - Michael Sullivan

Correct George?

Hey George,

Just checking to be sure, but will all the stickers you mentioned be available at the event?

I am safety steward.

I am looking for another SSS to help out, particularly on Friday with the Test and Tune Activities.
This would also be a good opportunity to those that did the school in December and have not yet done their work as deputy Safety Steward.

I can be the Youth Steward if you want. Do you want to run them first or right after lunch?
Normal rotation is now after lunch, but this is the division, you can do whatever you like. You could even run them last like they are experimenting with at the Tours.

Ok, well we'll see if anyone else volunteers in the next day or two.

Got your PM.

That'll probably be a conversation between the Youth Steward, George, Eric, Mari and Me. I dunno if we'll have enough F125s to get the spacing right or if they want to test it out here. If that's not going to work out, i think it'll be a run group 0 in the morning most likely.
