Post by George Schilling »

The TIRERACK SoPac Divisional, El Toro, June 26 & 27

**** This is the official thread for updates and information for the event ****

The divisional is a two day national style event consisting of three runs per day per competitor. Finishing order will determined by combining a competitor's fastest score from Saturday's competition with their fastest score on Sunday. The competition will be great as we expect to see competitors from all 7 Southern Pacific Regions and possibly others!

A Free TIRERACK SoPac Divisional T-shirt and a Friday Welcome Party is included for all full entries.
This event qualifies competitors for the Tire Rack National Championship.
Contingencies paid by Bridgestone, Toyo, Kumho, and Hoosier!
Plus Cash Awards!

All money collected from entry fees and sponsors will be returned in the form of cash awards after all expenses are met. The exact amounts are yet to be determined. Expect anywhere from $50 - $150 for a class win depending on levels of participation.

For those who can get there early, a Test 'n' Tune will be held on Friday, June 25 from 12-4! (Additional charges apply)

Free overnight parking. No on-site camping. Everyone must be off site by 10PM. At that time the gates are locked.

CSCC LOCALS NOTE: This will be counted as 2 Local events for local points, one for each day.

Thanks to our sponsors!

Thanks to our our main sponsor The TIRERACK.com

Thanks to our additional sponsors C2 Motorsports, ProParts USA, Mazdaspeed, Elite Window Tint, Carvin, OS Giken USA and RacingBrake for their support.

Thanks to our contingency sponsors Bridgestone, Toyo, Kuhmo, and Hoosier.

Numbers and class

A ‘National Style’ numbering system will be used for this event which is choosing any number 1-99 for a first driver and adding 100 to the number for a second driver. Cars without a co-driver will use 1-99 only. Numbers are available on a first come first served basis per class (e.g. 99 in AS is seen as different from 99 in CSP). As always, easy to read numbers and class letters are required on the car.

If you are a local Cal Club points card holders, do not use your SoCal Solo points card number for this event unless it happens to fit within the "National Style" numbering system described above. If you have a numbered placard with a number higher than 99, you can still choose a number in the preferred range (1-99) and using tape to cover unneeded numbers on your existing placard. Unless otherwise requested, those who normally compete locally in a Pax class will be reclassified for local points and scoring after the event. Like all national events, the run order will be created based on registrations and will not be the usual local run order rotation.

PAX Drivers will run in their National Class run groups.
CPM Drivers will run in their National Class run groups.
NOVICE Drivers will run in their National Class run groups.
SK1/L, SK2/L, CSM/L, CST/L and HIST will have their own classes.
X runs will not be available.

Chris is correct.

With the CP guys if you hide the beer, then you don't have to worry about hiding the pets.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but other than Bill Martin, I thought CP driver's couldn't read, much less use a computer; so all should be good, I'd think.

I thought that the smart CP guys pass that Class (CP) with A's and move up to advanced studies in EM. I have been waiting for Bill to take that 5.0 out of the mustang and show up with it in the Lotus or the FF....
