I am chief of tech and need at least two people to help. A crew of four, inlcuding me, would be ideal. I would guess no more than 2 -2 1/2 hours. 7 to 9ish sort of thing.

Well I am hoping to be there because my youngest daughter (23) agrees to attend, I can volunteer for Tech. My current plan has me keeping that date open anyway.

For help in tech, I would like to have a firm commitment from 3 people no later than Nov 20. If you can confirm earlier that would be good.

I'd think two people would be plenty. Only talking 20-30 people, not a regular practice or champ. I'm sure Mike could do it, pretty simple check list to do, nothing very technical. This is just a basic safety inspection.

Thank you Rick.
Well either way if I could shadow Arthur and Mako, that could work also.

Lisa is anticipating 50 to 60 participants.

Mike - no problem with being qualified. You can learn in just a few minutes. See you there.

I'll be working gate during the morning rush. If I'm needed in tech after that, I've done it before so just let me know.

I guess it really doesn't matter, since they aren't driving (and therefore aren't a reduction in courseworkers), but that is a ton of tech people for a small amount of cars. No big deal if they're out there anyway, but I wouldn't make them drive out if they didn't plan on being there.

AFAIK, the folks that volunteered for tech are sponsoring someone or otherwise planning to be at the event. I wanted a crew of 4 in the case of 50-60 cars. If the turn out is as light as currently appears, then certainly we can do it with just a couple of us. The others can help in other places. I would expect that after tech closes we'll shag cones or whatever we can to be of use.

Seems like for most schools I've ever been involved with the instructors simply teched their students cars.

Any idea how we're doing on entries? I'm sensing a low turnout and hoping for a late surge. Its a fun event.

I have a couple more that will be registering next week. I think we're always surprised at how many show up.

Grid from a few years ago ... although not sure what Christine's car is doing in there ... I thought she learned to drive before 2007? ;)

Here she's showing little sis something about turn in:
