Sooners are the best team. The announcer always says so.

Should we design in a DRS zone? :)

We will be accepting walk up volunteer registration!

The greatest need is for Friday Afternoon (check in around noon) to work the autocross. And all day saturday (check in begins at 7am). If you find out at the last minute that you are available, come on down. :gpower: We just request that you wear closed toe shoes and long pants (exhaust burns suck). When you get to the site, park in the infield parking lots and proceed to Garage 3 for volunteer registration.

The weather looks like it is going to be great! I am glad it will not be a repeat of the 2006 and 2007 years when we had 100+ degree weather every day. Yay for marine layer!

I was out today to help with the Welcome Ceremony.
I met a lot of the teams, watched the tech process, and strolled through the paddock.
This is an incredible international event. I really hope you can come out and lend a hand. Its the best "seat" in the house.

Big Thanks to Christine and Marshall for the help in getting the timing set up for the skid pad and acceleration courses. Stuff just wasn't cooperating. Appears that all the work to get it working with all the built in wiring in the motor home has made it not work stand alone outside any more. Fortunately I had an Electrical Engineer handy to jam a screw in the proper place.........

No he had a mechanical engineer there to help him.

Sounds like he needed a proctologist, not an engineer.

The first day of competition is over. The cars seems better than ever. The weather is great. If you can make it out tomorrow, I'd encourage it.

and the CPP car.. not as polished as the others, but I personally think it's the meanest looking one.. :)

and the guys from Maryland must have taken away some kind of prize for the biggest wing..

i think christine stole the hat from Tom..

The Sooner car was nice, but I think this was my favorite..
performed well, the design was polished, and the packaging was tidy. someone let me know where they ended up on the final standing.
