There is Steve's results.....or maybe a bear masquerading as Steve? Maybe that is why "Steve" isn't driving so well???
A couple of my friends from Calgary are doing well in SS (Rod/Z06 in 1st ahead of Kevin Dietz and Ambrose/Elise would've been in 1st weren't for a cone on his last run).
Max is in the lead also....

Re: Packwood Results!
Whew... Long weekend.
Scott Fraser looks thoroughly unbeatable when the Kubo machine is running well.
Kubo looked pretty good too.... Must be the tequila.
I heard a scream..... Looked up to see Annie B redesigning the course.... I heard the scream from like an 1/8th mile away.
Max seemed to like not having to shift to third at 12mph.
I coned away my fastest laps each day. The cracquistion shows that I lost time each time I hit the cone as I was driving linear secants instead of smooth curves. Could we get an instructor for the novice in the gay ricer car?
The great Northwest is full of some great autocrossers who put on a great event. Washington emergency services???? They suck.

Re: Packwood Results!
I forgot the biggest news of the weekend.
Don Saylers got all 6 of his runs in. Okay the car has a miss he's going to work on before the pro. But, damn. Don got 6 runs in the Sprite. Looked like he was smiling pretty big. Also a big thanks to him for letting me use his phone and use him as an emergency contact.

Re: Packwood Results!
This was very first trip to Packwood, indeed my first trip to the Northwest. It reminded me of England, but with taller trees and mountains. Certainly very beautiful and not nearly as many hippies as I thought there were going to be!
The weather was brutally hot on Friday and Saturday, but very pleasant on Sunday. Packwood has indoor pits in this huge hangar which I thought was the greatest thing ever.
I drove Annie's 07 Subaru which has been tuned to try and get rid of the dreaded 07 lag. Whilst no doubt greatly improved over stock, it still has huge throttle delay at any speed. At first it was really disconcerting, but as I progressed through the runs, I learned where I needed to hit the throttle to make the car accelerate at corner exit! However, the course has some super fast bits, and i think the advantage of the 07's gearing was clear. If you could drive around the throttle delay, I did not have to shift and I would have had to shift at least 4 times in an 06 STI.
Can't wait for next week!

Max, Max, Max.....the hippies are just north of you in BC.....around Castlgar, Nelson - interior of BC.....along with Sasquatch and the Ogopogo monster. If you are being carried away in the middle of the night by a big hairy thing, it might not be a Grizzly!
Might see you there on the weekend!
