Its just that I've never done this before & have some fears of commiting to something I have no experience ever even watching. Image
Mako Koiwai wrote: I just talked to Cam. Since he's never done it before, he wants to come out and check it out. Hopefully he'll be allowed to do some runs. I told him to get rides and also have an experienced driver drive him around a couple of times. He's bringing his Mustang.

Obviously I'm hoping he'll instantly be hooked and will do the rest of the weekend also ...
I suspect I will & thats sorta what I fear. :?

I'm doing the whole off road racing addiction thing right now & the rock crawling/Mud Bogging thing, & to think that I'm about to add a 3rd addiction to maintain my bank account in double digits sort of scares me a wee bit. Image
Don Salyers wrote:Cam, what have you done to the Mustang, I can't remember and I'm far too lazy to look it up.
Its Completely stock, with the expected were & tear that comes with it.
& thats what worries me..
I'll get hooked & start rebuilding the car for the best performance. Image

Umm, I'll let Jayson make the call, but as Asst. Chair for this event, for what that's worth as Jay's doing all the work, I'd be VERY opposed, unless we're real low on numbers, for the Test n' Tune to be for ANYONE that's not in the event.

It's inherent in the name: Test n' Tune - what are you testing and tuning for? THE EVENT!

My $0.03 worth.

A divisional is really a mini National Tour; it's NOTa great place to check it out and see if you like it by just doing the T n' T for the competitors. Or, go ahead and register for the event and jump in the deep end - my first time in an autocross was the 2nd day of a Divisional @ Hollywood Park

EDIT: I see Jay already commented; so be it! :)

Best to register and run. Why not? Man up.

And yeah.. since we are not sure about legality... run in CSM.

Sure, you have to start somewhere.

The difference is, an autocross is not as scary because it is a lot lowerkey and full of helpful people. Trust me. Its not that big of a deal. I would be very happy to help you out in any way I can. I am sure many others feel the same way.

More money for my trophy!!!

Cool.

I don't mind if a couple of people do it, I just wouldn't want to see a bunch doing only the test n tune. I doubt it'll be a problem.

If I can find a short term volunteer to play the PS3 in the Trailer Mahal (with a 4 yo), I'd be glad to give Cam a wild ride in a gay ricer. }:)

But my Ricer is more gay than any of yours....

Its a teal thing.....

We've got Gran Turismo 5, Kung Fu Panda, Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, Tiger Woods Golf, Ratatouielle, and Cars on the PS3. And just got Wall-E but haven't opened it yet. And every kids movie ever released on DVD. At home we add 800gig worth of TIVO'd kids shows.

And I have Skittles and A/C

And heineken, Samuel Adams, a selection of Chardonnays, and stuff for Cadillac Margaritas.....

Yeah, I think you're gonna have to fight us off. Maybe we'll pay you to let us babysit!
