Calendar - UPDATED

Post by Giovanni Jaramillo »

The following changes have been made:

The September event stays as is (Practice/Championship) as voted on in last night's meeting. The minutes aren't available yet but since this is time-sensitive info, I'm posting about it now.

The Thanksgiving Day weekend event has been changed:

from: Fri-Sat (SCNAX Cup), Sun-Ladies School
to: Fri-Practice, Sat-Ladies School, Sun-Championship Event.

This has been the traditional format in years past. This weekend will be held by Team BLEW but not including the Ladies School. That will be held by the E-Board.

The December event (originally thought to be held by Team BLEW is still an E-Board event).

Uh.. Minster....

The T-giving week was discussed, almost voted on, then I convinced everyone to take it back to their clubs for evaluation. As of now, there's no approved champ on T-giving.

Oh that's right..........sorry Jay. But I e-mailed Max and he wanted it. Max can you chime in? Or shall we wait for the other clubs?

Unless we want to call for a vote on the board, we need to wait until next month's meeting to make it 'official'.

And that remindes me. Club reps, don't forget to do your job and tell/poll your members of this impending change. We don't want to see 30 core members cought by surprize in mid November.

Its seems appropriate to me to explain the situation on the calendar and ask people to talk with their club reps even.

Apologies for rushing the calendar. Until Thanksgiving Day weekend is settled (as well as Dec), at the next meeting, it'll remain as it was prior to the meeting:

Thanksgiving Day weekend: SCNAX Cup/SCNAX Cup/Ladies-School (Fri/Sat/Sun) held by SCNAX/SCNAX/E-board
December weekend: Practice/Champ (Sat/Sun) - Held by E-Board

Calendar has been updated.

Comes with the territory I guess but in this case I rushed and forgot (meeting was 3hrs long!). Even John Fendel was starting to worry that he'd have to be up this late every month! :)

Thanks to Jay for correcting me.

We can just put up that Sunday format is 'Pending'. Friday and Saturday is to remain practice/school either way.

Once again, I think the membership is owed an explanation.

Putting the calendar back the way it was is just as wrong as changing it.

See above, seems like a pretty decent explaination of what's going on, and club reps should be handing out the options to memebership soon.
