Nice course today, Tom Berry!

Post by Bill Schenker »

That was a great course today! Very fun. Felt like I was going 90 mph and yet I didn't hit rev limit in second. I kept I saying to myself, "Can I really keep my foot in it going through here?" "Will I really be able to make this turn?" and finding a new limit nearly every run.

Keep setting like this Tom, and you're going to make a lot of shaking hands and smiling faces! Thanks.

Agreed - one of those courses where you need more than four runs to figure out. Great challenge

Agreed! Excellent course! Very fast and satisfying, but still technical and challenging. Not an easy balance to hit. Thanks for all your hard work.

I love this course! Feels fast and flows smoothly, no pointless gimmicks.

I would have enjoyed it more if I didn't work course for almost 3 hours before running :(

Liked the course a lot. Tons of fun to drive. I really wanted more runs, but needed to pack up early.

It did, however, kick Wiggle Way Racing's collective arse.

Its great to have help like that when fine tuning a course. :D

Sorry about that. We rebalanced the run groups based on last year's numbers, and as usual, there will likely need to be some rebalancing after a couple of events have passed and everyone settles on what class they want to run in.

On a good note, our super antenna seems to have helped the timing lights.

Loved the course. Kicked my arse but felt like I was flying the entire time. But do have to agree, not so much love for the finish. A woohoo finish would have made it a classic.

Still had a ton of fun.

As always, great job, Tom!

Rarely do we get to enjoy 3 Tom Berry courses in one weekend (saturday wet, saturday dry, sunday), all of which drove completely different :-D!

The super cool part was the 7377356 X runs in the 3rd group and the -3 X runs in the 4th group...just sayin'...

The number of cones killed during that 3rd run groups X runs was epic.

Loved it! Creatively different from what we've been seeing. Perhaps the last cone could have been pushed downhill a few inches, but it worked to control the finishing speed.

We should have perhaps added a few lay down pointers cones in the off-sets after the 2nd big turn around to help the newbies from missing them, but OK, Tough Love.

Was there a feeling that the course slightly favored speed maintance cars?

+1 Even with the finish, that was my favorite course of my short autocross career. Great design, Tom!

I didn't thinks so. Applying what Evo School had told me during the first turn around I would have prefered more acceleration from my car, but don't think using a speed maintenacne approach would have made me faster. I think the increased distance I would need for the arch would have added time.

Comparing Steve Abbott's time in a SK1 Vette to your CST Vette, looks like you just need to drive faster. I kid, I kid!!!

Ha ... but Steve and I are in a number of different classes, including Senior vs Junior, Talent vs Hack ... I actually said to Karen, "look, Steve only beat me by 2 seconds!" I couldn't even keep up with Steve during our lunch course walk!

Our Vette fuel gauge is broken. I thought I had enough fuel ... we had only gone 148 miles on a full tank of gas before our run group started. I started getting fuel cut off in my third run ... dashed over to our van for a splash, but didn't put enough in and still got hesitation in a few corners on my fourth run.

MY Victory for the weekend was beating the other Steve, with his CST Camaro and the same tires as our Vette. :D

Of course I was careful to let my Boss's son beat me. ;) ... yah, sure

+10 on the course.

Mucho fun. Thanks to Tom and his crew!

I ran 12 laps,
wanted to go more,
mainly to clean up my dirty 61.6 in my new/old 95 miata.
The new car has potential, I like it.

BTW, Have you ever seen so many Street tired cars in the Top 25 PAX wise, Holy snot!

And, unofficially, Bob Endicot would have PAX'd 1st in his X run of 58.0 Golf Clappppp........ to him.
