Ride wanted for SD Tour
Hey folks,
Some great people are making the trip over from Hawaii to run the SD Tour.
Jennifer and Mike Parker are the folks who make Solo happen on Oahu. They drive a rediculously fast SSM 240Z over there, but can't quite fit it into their carry-on luggage. So I'm hoping to find them something fun to drive. Jennifer will be driving Tom Ellam's RX-3 as she has done in the past, but Mike still needs a ride. Mike is 6'-3", so Miatas are mostly out, and while he might fit in the Formula Ford, I'd rather not find out at the last minute that he can't...
So, anybody got an open seat for a fast Hawaiian? Not a bad person to have owe you a favor!

I'm sure a stock FWD econobox on street tires wouldn't be his first choice, but if all else fails, he can co-drive my car.

I plan to bring the Corvette down, so if he doesn't find something better, he can share my BSP Corvette with old, but serviceale V710s.

Re: Ride wanted for SD Tour
I registered for San Diego, BSP #14. The registration asked if I was a two driver car. For the moment I put no, but the offer to use the car stands, just need to know, so I can update my registration.
Thanks
Thanks

Thanks!
Not sure he's made a decision yet. He was weighing a couple of options...

Art/Robert,
In case you (or Hawaiian co-drive), need, or would like fresher/faster 710s, I still have a few sets of 275/40s, with only 16-38 runs, at only $300-450 for the set, depending on set:-)
They are in bags, and stored inside, and needless to say cheap versus the $1300 for new ones.

Re: Ride wanted for SD Tour
}:) thou art tempting. Given I have 6 sets of admitted more well seasons i.e. run tires it's hard to justify. Then again I have lost to Tin by about the same 3.5 second margin in January and February. I just have to search my soul and pocket book to see if I believe it is more tire than driver.Scott McHugh wrote:Art/Robert,

Re: Ride wanted for SD Tour
No, I don't Arthur. They are in bags in trailer in Rancho Cucamonga.
They are as advertised, and tires are evenly worn. Tom's C4 is very easy on tire wear. He runs many local events in Oregon with 50-80 run tires, and usually paxes in top spot.
All the the 16-38 run tires look great, as they should, and they are all still prime 710s.
I could bring a set to the March 17/18 event, if you want to do it, as Tom and I will be there.
Let me know.
