Great guy, jumped head first into regional management in SD when he moved there. He's served on the San Diego SCCA Solo Board as an Officer, and a Club rep; prior SCAT club president;and one of the few who tow the SD trailer to the site for the region, before retuning home to retrieve his own car to compete for the day (and vise versa in the evening).
Spends most of his time in a Miata in SK2, has experience in many vehicles, including Karts (ask him about that, nationally competitive on the circuit back in the day).
Was one of the "city" winners in the 1st year of the Mazda Rev it up, and had the privileged of going to Laguna Seca for the finale.

And, he's very friendly, laid back, and would make an excellent driving companion for the Pro. They don't come any better than Scott, except for that little incident down around Zaragosa back in the 80s. Anybody that would let ME join his club in San Diego is a bit weird, so he'll fit right in up here. Please make room for him. I'm not sure how co-drive works, but Scott can drive with me in ES or we can switch to RTR. But it's an NA, not a NC. Whatever.George Schilling wrote:And, he's very friendly, laid back, and would make an excellent driving companion for the Pro. Not seeking, but you'd be welcome to co-drive my kart, assuming you fit. I'm 5'8", about 170-175lbs. Kart is reasonably competitive, I'll have fresh tires, and we have 11 entries so should be some good competition.Scott Lewis wrote:I am considering attending the Pro this weekend. Been a while since I was in a shifter. Being 6'5" 200 might be a squeeze, but then again it always was. Helluva thought though! My broken ribs from two weeks ago would love that. Dang!

if it weren't for the broken ribs, I'd say go for it. I've driven it before. Still have the burn scar on my right thigh, but that was from lapping at Willow. It hurt, but not enough to stop. Until it finally did.Scott Lewis wrote:Been a while since I was in a shifter. Being 6'5" 200 might be a squeeze, but then again it always was. Helluva thought though! No, Phantom Flex. 2,500 fps HD ... limited to only a few seconds of event time ... but expands it to fill minutes.
I WISH! ... it's what we used last week.
That new Sony would also be cool, not quite released yet. There is also the new http://3dguy.tv/phantom-cameras-go-mini ... igh-speed/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
... but that camera needs quite a bit of time between takes to save ones takes ... slower then using the full on Phantom.
For those that didn't see what Tom was talking about: https://vimeo.com/41084323" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hey guys, it seems that I might be racing by myself in SSM, do you know what other classes my car might be OK to run?
Should/can I run Super Street Prepared?

Christos, you will not have to run by yourself. You will go to a Bump class, by the rules, and with your power off the line, it could be to your advantage.
