Remember that was is listed on sololive.scca.com isn't always updated post audit. I've noticed some differences from the final audited results which should be up soon. But for the most part its right.

More like 57 mph with a 6 speed, though. :barf:

If you'd ask Jeff, he'd tell you he got the S2000 because he likes it better as a daily driver. At the time, he thought the S2000 was not quite as good for STR, but he didn't care.

@ David ... your car probably doesn't have the ECU bumped up for an extra 500 revs ... which gives you more high end, ie. you don't have to shift as soon.

Watching the MPH's and you were a bit slower ... everywhere almost. :unimpressed: ... just like me. ;)
Data says we were almost the same through everything, Max lost a time to me in the back turn around but got it back in the later slalom. It was all give and take, except for my apparently terrible boggy launch. Now on Saturday.. I was just slow.

you pulled a "Tom". I *used* to earn a bonus .5 sec because he was launching soft, but that doesn't seem to happen anymore. Unfortunately (for me  ) the data is a two way street.

I was really surprised by how much time you can lose even before you hit the start beam.

As starter for your group I could see the difference between you and Tom. You seemed to be the "soft" one.

Don't remember if it was Jeff or Mark, but one of them was doing the hand clap thing and had great starts in the BMW, too. Just sayin'............. ;)

It was Jeff. The hand clap is how he syncs his two video feeds.

Another trick I'll steal from Jeff... I've been syncing up mine from the initial motion of the vehicle, which is a right PITA. A hand clap is a great idea. Maybe I'll personalize it by knocking myself on the helmet.

One of the main reasons these are the way they are, especially when syncing was by hand-taping lengths of film and tape together!

Well I've got Mark doing the hand clap thing too so I can sync his videos

It was probably Mark, he was doing a better job keep the revs up off the line, I was bogging pretty much every launch.

BTW, Mark and I both agree Rick, you're an awesome starter. Your flag wave is amazing!

My starts (and everything else) were better on Saturday than on Sunday. You don't know it, Jeff, but you're the one who taught me how to launch that car right. I used to have too much wheelspin. That being said, the one on my fastest run on Sunday (see video) had a big ugly bog in it. :x
And yes, great job with the green flag, Rick!

Wheelspin matters more the closer the lights are to the start line. If there is a 50 ft run up, some low torque cars can benefit from a lot of wheelspin. As the lights get closer (think pro solo) its increasingly tougher to overcome the time lost at initial loss of traction.
