:gpower:
Files aren't captioned yet, so it might be hard for you to find your video ... but they are sequential from after lunch to the last run on Saturday.
I think the Last Yellow Light to Wheel Spin vids are kinda of cool ... from the last heat

Re: ProSolo, El Toro '12: VIDEOS & STILLS
Besides shooting with Pete Loney's Casio EX-F1 hybrid still/video camera, I tried something new. I let my tripod mounted Canon roll locked off video aimed at a few corners. I can then step through this footage and do screen grabs of the cars that passed through. Resolution is still not ready for prime time, but it's getting better all of the time, ie. Nikon D800 with its 36 MP sensor ... about three times more pixels then my 60D.
I also installed the Magic Lantern software into my camera that gives extended functions like Focus Trap. Camera will auto shoot a frame when the subject matter comes into focus (actually just before) but it requires the shutter button to be held half way down, so it's not a truly a self contained remote. It also has Motion Detection Shutter Release ... but there the release is too general and it's often not in focus.
Canon 60D video frame grab ... click on image to get rid of scroll bars: BTW ... Who's Looking Ahead ;)

Re: ProSolo, El Toro '12: VIDEOS & STILLS
Here are my fastest runs from the ProSolo.
This run felt great and was my quickest overall.
http://youtu.be/M8PtvdoUWBQ
My tires were way overheated during this run and I was struggling for grip everywhere.
http://youtu.be/sKex__X7x94
Any comments or criticism or tips please let me know. I'm always looking for improvement.

Fastest (scratch time with a cone) on the right: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtk49ANDWcs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Fastest on the left: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_fVK7jQ3hg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Not posting my real fastest time on the right because it's too embarrassing. The first hairpin turnaround was ridiculously bad.
I just never got the hang of the turnarounds- especially that first one. Even though I kept telling myself to break earlier, set up more outside and get around the cone more, I kept getting drawn in by it and turning in too early.
Still, I didn't come in second from last so it's an improvement from last week at the Tour! What a great competition we had in the road tire classes.

Those slo-mo videos are awesome!
Here's my fastest time on the right: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jy1O-j551Y8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
My fastest on the left: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LLW5YRsbRE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Not the fastest laps, but I did have a lot of fun & met a bunch of cool people - all in all a great first ProSolo for me!

Re: ProSolo, El Toro '12: VIDEOS & STILLS
Mako, thanks SO MUCH for taking the slo mo vids, on top of your usual excellent picture taking!
The video you have of me taking the slalom is AWESOME. It's so cool to see what it looks like from the outside when I try to dance the car around the cones. A lot of times after I pass the slalom I think to myself "good God I came real close to those cones!" But to actually see it in slow mo is AWESOME!!!
Here is a link to the vid:

Is there a way to get that video file from you Mako? Definitely a keeper!

To the upper right after you open a file, there is a Download Arrow ... then to the lower right corner of that video window, there is a Down Triangle that gives one the choice to Save. Remember that at that speed the resolution is only 512 X 384 pixels

Re: ProSolo, El Toro '12: VIDEOS & STILLS
Here's the video of my fastest runs from both sides. I gotta thank Mike Kazmierczak for the help during the Sunday AM runs. IMO, it made the difference to have the proper tire pressures to get my fastest times. Thanks again, Mike.

Wow, given the amount of squat on braking and body roll in turns, I might start playing around with dampers and a front bar.

Re: ProSolo, El Toro '12: VIDEOS & STILLS
My best runs of the weekend were the same, to the thousandth of a second, which made for an easy dial-in calculation.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMthoqPyNZg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Comments/excuses in the video description. ;)
Also, I stole Will Kalman's idea and monitored my heart rate during Saturday afternoon runs. I started the log a bit before moving to the front of the grid, I think. In hindsight I should have synced the log with video to see where those peaks occurred. My best guess is right at the start of each run. The peaks are definitely higher than I expected to see!
