Thinkin' of Lincoln Practice Hosted by the E-Board

Post by George Schilling »

The Thinkin' of Lincolon Practice and Autocross Sunday Hosted by the E-Board are now posted.

This is the last event before the National Solo Finals and the Pro Finale, so get the entries in early. I don't want to see anyone left out.

If you'd like to be one of the chiefs, send a PM. There are a few spots remaining.

BTW, let me know if you see any mistakes on the flier and I'll get them corrected.

These are also our last events of the year at El Toro! Be sure to get one last taste of the autocrossing nirvana that is El Toro before we head back out to Fontucky for the cold, wet winter.

Does anyone want to split an entry with me? I need to practice for nationals, but I work til noon. Anyone want to take the morning runs and I'll take the afternoon runs?

Does anyone know if the Cal Poly people will be coming out?

Hi Gang.

I'm in the process of selecting a course designer for the Aug 4,5 weekend. I'm looking for someone to layout a nationals style course about 70 seconds in length. To get an idea what I mean by a national style course, take a look at this preview and listen to what this year's nationals course designers have to say.

If you'd like to be considered to construct your dream nationals course at one of the finest solo venues on the west coast, if not the country, please send a PM. This is a rare opportunity, so let me know ASAP. The decision will be made in the next few days.

As long as we can use our own cars, I'm good. So would the entry fee be split as well James? If that is the case, I'm okay with doing 6 runs in the morning.

Yes, we can definintely drive our own cars. The fee will be the split cost of the practice entry, plus $5 (for SCCA insurance requirements).

I already registered Alex, so you don't have to. I'll speak to the head of the practice and have you added onto my entry.

Thanks!

If you're looking for a nationals style course you should be looking around 60 seconds...

If you haven't found a course designer yet the Clements family can do it.

I did not find a thread just for SUNDAY Aug 5th. I know that the practice has the Sunday link but I am not sure the folks that are attending just Sunday will click on the practice thread to register for Sunday.

Fair warning to anyone wanting into this practice.........ONLY a few spots remain. Lately we have been able to take walk-ups the day of the practice. This probably won't be the case for this event. If you want in, get your entry in right away of you may be left out.

This is a last minute request for entry, because I may be driving down from the north this Friday to have my car tuned in Costa Mesa and would like to attend practice Saturday. I was originally not planning on attending this practice because of school finals, but the course has me intrigued. Any chance of getting in? Thanks, Tristan

Looks like you're in Tristan.

For anyone else wanting to get in, the event is full. However, there are always the inevitable cancellations at the last minute. If you like to partake, get registered and keep your eye on the entry list. You may make it in.

I'm actually looking for an entry, since I managed to fix my car (I put a new transmission in). Please let me know if I can still get in the list.
