Lincoln Paddock Spaces

Post by George Schilling »

There's a new reservation system this year for paddock space. Once again, we forgot to get a tent. Who wants to join us in a group paddock? Don't know if we can with the new system. Here's a link that explains the new system.

I'd be up for that. Sounds like we'd all have to register individually and try to coordinate spots next to each other. BTW, I have my car and really not much else, if someone with a huge trailer and/or stuff wants to take over part of my paddock space.

If anyone has room, you could take the two CSCC Easy-Ups plus the CSCC Banners. In the trailer at El Toro.

I'll be lucky if I can fit myself in my car after it's packed

Winds can get intense in Lincoln, that is why the professionally set up and anchored tents are so great. Ez-ups make me nervous. At the 2011 SpringNationals, even the professional tents had problems. And Solotime lost their setup.

technically it says that they are not official until after the 13th. Nothing says it's going to be reset.

Except chiefs row it will be reset.
The plan was to have chiefs test/debug the new system. Unfortunately someone leaked the reservation site link on a public forum and screwed up the plan. Now it's going to be the mad rush on the 13th.

For Pro sign up, it was central time zone.

Assuming eastern time didn't work for signing up for Nationals. If west coast people are left out for three hours while east coast people can sign up, it would seem to be unfair but I'm not a computer guy so I don't know how to fix that. Otherwise sign up on a computer that is on eastern time assuming you kow how to do this. :ibrightdea:

Well, that was not awesome. :( I could not log on until 10:08 and by then all the good stuff was taken. Got row 4 near the end which is not the end of the world, but was not able to get next to all of my buddies.

The software should max out at 2 spots per competitor.

I thought it maxed out at one. I think you're seeing people blocking out spaces by prior arrangement for their regions and such.

Row 7 Col 1&2 in our usual spot. Next to Jason Frank's 1000 spots. And some guy named Bobby Beyer. ;)

I'm pretty sure the software lets you just go for it. I grabbed three, then used Shauna's SCCA number and got another one.

Now comes the fun part where you collect and trade with your friends.

One space left.

Apparently, you're right Seb, the final release opened it up.

I looked up friends to see how far away they are and they had three different three spot compounds reserved, plus they have two co-drivers and each of the co-drivers had multiple spots reserved.

More than one space per person is supposed to be by approval of the Paddock Chief. Now that the place is full on day one, they are going to have to act quickly to fix it. And the only way to do that is to take spaces away from people if they don't voluntarily do it.

I already have a paddock space, but I can't figure out how to access PaddockNow. Am I missing something? What's the link?

It would be wise of you to release those extra spaces before they're deleted for you. It's looking like there will be a tiered reservation next year, people doing the land grab will be at the end of the line, currently, you're on that list.
