Gate Replacement for Sat. 9/13?

Post by Kurt Rahn »

I had a gate volunteer drop out at the last minute. He was covering the 7-9 a.m. shift Saturday morning. Any takers for replacing him? You can kill off both work shifts in one shot and all you have to do is sit in a chair and read (okay, occasionally you'll need to have people sign the waiver forms). I'll make sure you have ample time to walk the course.

I can do it if it can give me a spot in the practice.

Sorry Darren, I have you on my (as yet unpublished) alternates list, and you're first in line after I move the two people above you into the two vacated positions, but we really need a volunteer from the current entry list.

Darren,

Check your e-mail. I just had two more cancellations so you're in.

Kurt, can how are we on gate?

All set except for the person who dropped out. Darren, are you good for the 7-9 a.m. slot on Sat.?

I'd be happy to do it!

But being a newbie, I wonder will that stop me from the course walk?

I need to walk the course. Image

Yes, still good to go for gate duty. Jennifer, my wife, (also SCCA and racing) said she could fill in for me long enough for me to walk the course.

I also have my GF that could glady cover me at the gate during my walk. ;)

I volunteered to work the gate, but I will not be able to attend this weekends events.
Hope this does not cause undue hardship.
Sorry

No problem, John. You were an alternate, so we're good.
