Cool ... Ken is leading ASP by half a second. Henry is only a tenth behind Jr. Johnson and only a couple of hundredth behind Jason.

Annie is leading STUL by over 3 seconds ... she should be running Open, where she would be in 4th place ... Max is in 9th (after winning the STU ProSolo), Aaron in 28th out of 37.

Weird, it said I was in 23rd in impound... coned away my fastest runs both days. Never was able to downshift back to second in all of todays runs. My fault, not the car which was working great. Gearing limitation hurt us a lot yesterday and today.

Oh and King Ken Motonishi destroyed ASP buy a second!

I knew Ken would do it. Awesome!

Annie is going to have to stop beating up on the poor girls, looks like she was faster than both of her male co-drivers.

Mihai did great coming up to 6th! Look at the trophy positions in STX and tell me how the WRX is a huge overdog.

Joey S. earned the 7th place trophy in AS. Congratulations!!! That is especially impressive since he has only been autocrossing for about 1 year. There were 58 people running AS.

Barbara won ASL. Congratulations!!! Way to go. She won by an impressive 2 second lead.

One of our locals asked Jr. J about his competition. Apparently Ken's name never came up. 8-)

Looks like Henry went No Guts, No Glory ... conned away a trophy. But he sure builds a Great Z-06~!

Ryan is leading CS by 0.44, in a car that he's never driven before. Ken Lord let him do a lap on Sat. at our CSCC event so Ryan could get an idea of how wide the new style Miatas are.

There have been a few trouble incidence at Nationals.

First, from Andy Hollis:
Lesson learned from today:

Do not paddock next to grid with your STS Civic unlocked while you go off to your work assignment, or a backmarker competitor who you do not know might steal an upper radiator hose off your car to fix their broken car, replace it incorrectly so it leaks, not fully refill the radiator, and not make any effort to contact you for permission or notice either before or after. Thank God that word filtered back to me from witnesses just as I was about to head to the grocery store, or my car would have overheated and warped the head on my very expensive motor. Or maybe it would have happened during competition runs instead. That would have been even better.

I thought I had seen everything in this sport but I was mistaken. And the Chief Stewards seem to think this sort of activity is ok so long as you apologize afterwards. Hopefully the Protest Committee will deal with this individual in a more appropriate manner.

2nd, From Chris Hammond on the Internet Protest Forum
Well, here's a summary.

1. From what I hear, Mark Allen Smith walked up to Jim Fineberg sometime this weekend (I believe on Saturday) and said "here's your second place trophy" and handed him some used greasy latex gloves.

2. Fineberg, offended by this, as he believe Mark to be doing this in all seriousness, not joking, went to Wal Mart and bought Mark a 4 pack of Massingill, and presented this to Mark in a nice pink bag on stage at the ProSolo banquet tonight with the delivery of "congrats, here's your third place trophy" as Fineberg won DS for the year this weekend.

3. Mark opened said gift when back at his seat, and was apparently extremely upset about the fine offering from Fineberg. Later in the evening he came up to Jim and slapped him on the back, rather hard multiple times, saying essentially he was a jackass and a sore winner.

4. Sometime after opening the gift, someone proceeded to pour it all over Karen's WRX in the parking lot at the banquet center.

I don't know why he chose to do this to Karen, but she was less than happy when I heard this from her later on.

I have video of Mark opening the gift, and the crowd around him laughing their asses off, but after what occurred later on I will not be posting it tonight.
