Time Lapse of Impound Weigh In ... Burning EVO at 35 seconds:

(I'm guessing Impound Weigh In car/go-kart counts aren't considered when making up Run Groups :-) ... but nice break at 1:15 ;)

I tired "don't lift". I ended up with two cones stuck under the car and my exhaust ripped off...

Apparently I am Steve Ekstrand and not Steve O'Blenes.

Great time lapse, Mako! What software did you use to make the time-lapse video? I am looking for some (free) software to make a time lapse video of a blooming flower in my backyard.

I don't think I can comment about KJ's video without resorting to expletives.

Mihail .... I'm playing around with a dedicated time lapse camera: http://www.brinno.com/html/TLC200pro.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

(I accidentally had the auto exposure set to darken a bit.)

But it's easy to do time lapses with programs like QuickTime 7 (Pro) ... that have an "Image Sequence" option. You simply Image Sequence > First Image and it builds it for you,with options to speed up or slow it down. Better to start with too many frames and then speed it up. I'm sure there are other inexpensive options.

What camera are you planning on using? GoPro's do time lapses, and in certain settings you can use a narrow angle of view.

Hi Mako,
Thanks for the fast reply and your advice. Basically, I captured the blooming of a flower by taking a sequence of shots (stored as JPEG and RAW) once every hour for a whole week using my Nikon D300s. Now I'd like to combine the individual photos into a short video clip.
Sorry for sidetracking this topic a bit :)

All Photos are up now: http://public.fotki.com/makofoto/2013-r ... regionals/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

These photos are all InfraRed photos (note how it cuts through background haze) ... my Canon 50D now has a built-in VISUALLY OPAQUE IR filter in it, 830 nm, so the exposure is purely via IR wavelength "light."

Of course the files can be lightened, corrected, sharpened somewhat.

IR doesn't focus at the same plane as visible light, so focus must be corrected. My main zoom lens IS calibrated for IR, but for some reason I'm still having focus issues. Perhaps the Canon's Auto Focus just doesn't work as well with IR? Some shots are super sharp, others ... see the Award Presentation shots are often back focused?!

Also some of the photos are posted twice because for part of the time I was shooting RAW and JPEGs ... and didn't want to tediously separate out the files.

When photographing in Shade, the heat of blood vessels comes through ... not real attractive. It IS cool how IR sees through some Sun Glasses.
