July 27th Practice Registration Open

Post by George Schilling »

The Think'n of Lincoln E-Board Practice is now open for registration.

I don't expect anyone going to nationals to get shut-out of this event. However, to ensure your spot, please register before the registration list is posted on Saturday July 13. Once the list is posted, and should the event reach capacity, you will be put on a waiting list hoping for a cancellation.

Maybe copy many elements of last year's nationals courses - maybe the East course?

I won't be there on Saturday, at least until the afternoon. That's the day of the Braille Rallye. I will be there Friday during setup to set up timing and the PA and Saturday afternoon I'll load the registrations into the computers. Will also leave my trailer on Friday so Kevin can run the kart if he wants to.

Based on the early response, this practice will sell out. Don't procrastinate! Get your entry in early!

The entry list is up. This event is capacity controlled. I've saved a few spots for event officials who have failed to registered. Once the event fills, it will be difficult to fit you in. Please register now to avoid disappointment and/or becoming a pain in my arse.

Hello, I registered last week but don't see my name. Where do I stand on the waiting list? I was hoping to come to this one before my first kid is born next month and I may not be able to make it in a while. It looks like the registrations have been opening up earlier than what I was used to and I've been missing them. ~ Jason

Come out on Sunday instead ... get four regular runs and then do four X-Runs without having to work a 2nd shift ... for a bit more money, but a good deal. If you can ... come out on Saturday to get rides with us. Sunday's course will be run in the opposite direction, but it will still be a big help. You can learn a LOT by riding instead of having to concentrate on driving. :D

I started out coming on Sundays, and always paid for the X-Runs. It might have been bad luck when I went but it seemed like the Stock classes ended up working longer for groups that were combined the day of. Saturday seemed less pressure, easier to ride with other people, and easier to find people to ride with you. Overall, for someone learning and not worried about being competitive, I've found Saturdays to be much more enjoyable.

Hey...what's the deal with X-Runs? How do you sign up for them? Is it online, or do you just inquire when you're checking in on-site?

Just tell the fine folks at registration that you'd like to purchase them and they'll get you set up. There are a limited amount available for each run group, and they're first come first served. You are allowed to buy multiple sets if you want, and there is no additional work requirement for them.

I have one open slot for the practice.

That spot will go to the first person to respond here in this thread who has already registered but is not on the entry list.
