Here's my fourth run from yesterday, 75.645 +1. I didn't get my official best run on camera, but if I hadn't hit a cone, this would have been 7/10th's faster. :(

Not sure if the downshifting actually helped or not, I only did it on this run, but it felt like it helped.

Me (68.234): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCMm2ccBvsE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Matt Ellam (70.354): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLuv3jIR9yQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Mark DeShon (was going to be a darn good run until the spin): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37u06ea_yIw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Nico (first time out, showed huge improvements over 4 runs, is hooked): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UB6iei3YH0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Unfortunately I was trapped in the trailer and couldn't set up the cameras for Christine N. and Lisa B. :(

6 drivers * 4 runs * ~70 second course = 1 tired BMW at the end of the day.

It's on the list of worst ever. Like our South East lot, don't try to stuff a long course on a small lot. I would rather have a fun 40-50 second course, than 5 1st gear turn arounds.

Downshifting was faster.

LOL at Jeff C. since when are you *required* to downshift to 1st at 25mph going down hill? maybe you would have liked the course more if you drove it better.

I thought it was an awesome course.

I call them as I see them, my *poor* driving aside. Staying in 2nd gear was slower.

My co-driver and I loved it. Maybe best course of the year for a kart. And yes, we had to downshift way more than usual for the tighter turns. 4 of the 5 required 4 downshifts going into them, the other one 3. All the slaloms were flat out for us including coming down the hill and the sweeping turn into the next one. Highest G-forces I can remember, too. Forgot the camera this time :(

I thought the course was pretty fun, despite the slow corners. Although, it did give my buddies with more power a bit of an edge. The times I didn't downshift I was very slow coming out of the corners. A couple of the elements were a bit hard to read too, but overall I liked the course.

3 of your 5 shifts were wrong. you went faster in spite of the bad shifting, not because of it. But like you said, just calling them as I see them.

by far not the worse course ever.

I thought the course was a blast. Here's my fastest time although it was plus one. Hit it with a rear tire. Can you spot it?.

That was the most fun I had working course. This one particular driver had to much coffee and was quite entertaining. Spins, more spins, dnf's and hitting cones. I have to say "that was great". }:) I liked the course both days. Not so much the street tires I've been running in practice. That's going to stop. :D

Hey, I resemble that remark. It's been a long time since I've had a double spin run. :lol:

But I think one of my dnf's wasn't really a dnf. yeah i went around the wrong side of like 10 pointer cones but there were no boxed upright cones and i went on the correct side of the first boxed cone the pointers were pointing at. ...so i think that was actually ok. who knows.

You missed out Jeff with the previous course, the last event I Paxed my highest for the year, this event, my lowest :) Very telling.
Opposite style of courses basically….

Hi everyone,

Heres a link to my slowest (73.874+1) and fastest (73.042) laps. Had fun this last weekend and I'm gonna miss everyone till the banquet and the first race of the new year. I'll be down in San Diego DEC 7 for there last race of the year (it's too hard to go very long without an Autocross), hope to see some of you down there.

Once again great year and I look forward to seeing everyone real soon. :D
Fast laphttp://youtu.be/Bjr0Map37IQ
Slow laphttp://youtu.be/IbPZb1tMi8g

If someone sees where I could have picked up some time I'd be very interested to hear. My Miata is a totally base grade package with no ABS so braking into turns is always a little tricky so be gentle on me there.

Have a great holiday season.
Thank you,
Marc Leininger

My 4th and fastest run from Sunday (2nd overall). Lost the slim lead I had going in for the Overall. I think I drove within a few tenths of the most I was capable of, but just couldn't overcome those slow corners. Well, I was the fastest of the low HP cars, and other than 1 car, faster than the high HP cars too :) )

Greetings Californians!

Just wanted to thank everyone who gave me guidance on the differences between your club and mine.

It was really nice to be able to race in November too. (It was 20 degrees here last night)

Anyway, here's the compilation video I've put together. Feel free to look at how poor of a driver I am. There will be more videos to follow, but they will be less fancy.

http://youtu.be/7lXwF7ahwxM

One question: I was registered in CST but it seems like my PAX multiplier was posted as SSP. Is that changeable?

Cheers,
Chris Morgan
