CSCC 2/8 - 2/9 Photo and Video Thread

Post by Steve Ekstrand »

This how a fourth grader rocks the 57's on Practice day.
Robert ran a 57.4xx but I couldn't ID which video it was. This 57.9 was pretty obvious. And it included the Mommy dance.

This is a restricted World Formula in JB trim. About 12hp and was around 260lbs race weight. 2013 Kosmic Mercury chassis. His second time in the Kart.

And here is his winning run on Sunday. 55.9xx Sorry about the lousy camera position, I changed it after.

Looks like the kart is working well. I couldn't hear the limiter, may want go a tooth bigger?

Sunday, Kevin Teague's 48.467, Top Time of Day, first run group:

Video quality is a little soft. Kept getting a lot of moisture on the GoPro since he was running first group.

it looks crazier in the video than I remember. Everything is kind of a blur when driving but the go pro captures it all in HD.

Strange, it (and my 49.9) looks a lot slower than it felt. Maybe the moisture on my visor making it hard to see where I was going made it seem faster. :!:

Definitely a fun course, Thanks Pete!

Aero cutting through the wind looked great coming down and flying past the turn I was working. But how do you even see the cones coming up, let alone drive through them?

you just look extremely far ahead, you can really only process the stuff that's like 100 feet away. If you watch my head turn you can see how soon i'm looking at the next element.

Not to take anything away from Marshall, but his T.O. unofficially placed him 3rd (I looked!), 0.3x behind me.

Yeah nice try Pete. I was only first until pax ran. MIke and Bill were both ahead of my 'unofficial' time.

I just noticed, Marshall. Your fastest T.O. run (the +1 one) exactly tied my fastest run - nice driving of the Sweeper Speical!

Exactly. When driving this car, we take "look ahead" to an entirely new level.

I second that.
I would call the conditions for the first group --> Densely Moist
I am still happy with 15th overall for me and my new motor though.
