Hi Folks, it's time to ask for volunteers to run our next event.

This time, when the cat is away the mice will play...Many of our core volunteers will be at the Crow's Landing National Tour, so this is a great opportunity to really help the region. Even if your are first time volunteer; don't worry, there will plenty of support.

In order to secure the insurance we need the following positions:
Event Chair: KJ Christopher
Safety Steward: QV
Youth Steward: Rick Jung
Chief of Gate:

In order to have a smooth running event we need following positions:
Course Designer:
Chief of Registration:
Chief of Workers: Doug Tuelie
Chief of Tech: David Barrish

Please post her to volunteer.
Thanks in advance! :D

We really need folks to volunteer for the positions is the first part of the post. The sooner the better, I can't get our insurance until then.

I dont get it, since it is a "club" run event, aren't the clubs running it supposed to step in to run it?
You would think since No$ and PSCC are supposed to benefit from the event,
it should be mandated that members from both clubs fulfill at least the chief positions to organize it.
My my count, it seems there are around 40 active members between both clubs.

Not being critical, just curious as to why this urgent call for chiefs, when both clubs seem to have the member numbers..... :?:

It's urgent because Seb would like to submit the sanction request ASAP and we haven't given him any names yet.

Seb - put me as EM, Rick Brown as Registration and Rick Jung as Youth Steward. Rick and I still need to identify the others, so if you're a No$ or PSCC member reading this, feel free to volunteer.

On edit: I'm not sure either club has an active SSS, so if you're interested, please chime in.

Oh yeah, it's a club hosted event...Totally spaced that.

Anyway...PSCC/No$ members: Please volunteer for gate, and any other open positions.

We used to require that the Solo Safety Steward (SSS) be from a club other than the hosting club. I'm not sure that's practical anymore, and I don't see it being a true conflict of interest. So please, if you are a licensed SSS and are not attending the Crow's Landing Champ Tour, please volunteer. Don't forget, the SSS gets free entry all weekend.

Thanks Hi, but you are listed as in TCC and this is a No$/PSCC hosted event so we are trying to fill the chief jobs with our members first. But we'll keep you in mind.

Thanks for volunteering, Pat. Reach out to Pete Loney - he may have some copies of the site you can start laying out your ideas on. I'll ping you off-line so we can start coordinating.

I use this map for drawing courses at CA speedway. It has good information on keepout distances. Courtesy of Roger Johnson and the course design school hosted a couple years ago.

Hello, totally new here. Sorry for the noob post but just wanted to make sure that there will be a post in the events section with more info about this day? Looking forward to joining, trying to convince a small group to come with.

On a more related note, happy to help out any way I can, just don't have much of an idea how you guys run events. I've run/instructed/helped out at a fair share of HPDE's with other people.
