Great job Reed!

Post by Mark DeShon »

Just taking a little time to say thank you to Reed Gibson for a fantastic course this weekend, as well as to everyone who helped tweak it in! In my humble opinion, It was absolutely the best course that we've had since Irvine squeezed us down to a bandaid sized area. With very little to work with, Reed gave a course that was fun and flowing, with enough pinches and tricks to keep it dynamic and interesting. Visuals reminded me of a Pro, with little more than key cones. I can't speak to balance, because I haven't poured through the results yet, and I know it's very hard to achieve balance on a runway course, but the fun factor was definitely there.
I've been vocal in my opinion that we shouldn't be racing at El Toro because it's incredibly difficult to put a good course on this site nowadays, but you knocked this one out of the park, Reed!

Good job to all of the folks involved with the course layout.
And Extra thanks for Reed to Captain that ship...

After my 12 Runs on Sunday :)
I can say that it was a rewarding course. I was able to drop 1.1(55.858) seconds on run #12 versus my Fastest first 4 runs.

Glad you guys enjoyed it! I had a great time working on this course, it certainly was a labor of love. Even though it had some snags, the early mornings and late nights were worth it to see everyone having a great time.

This was my second autocross event and I quite enjoyed the way the track was set up this time. Any timeline when results will be posted?

OK, this is really weird, I posted them yesterday as the event was being cleaned up, Theresa Berry is my witness. But I don't see them now.

Fixed now, here is the link viewtopic.php?f=27&t=9726
