I messed up Jason, I was contacted earlier than your post via IM and got a shadow request for Annant but did not understand it was also a work assignment request too.
You have been bumped. My apologies

Annant:

If you're interested in being Tech Chief in the future, there's a couple of things you need to study up on. While you don't need to be a tech expert, you are responsible for our first line of safety, so please take a moment to read (and re-read) the documents linked below:

First of all read all the rules in section 3 of this document:

https://dk1xgl0d43mu1.cloudfront.net/us ... s-1-12.pdf

Also....you should read our helmet requirements (you need to know the stickers, and the dates):

https://www.scca.com/downloads/39398-20 ... s/download

I printed some "cheat sheets" of the above documents in the tech box last year (I hope they're still there)....the cheat sheets are good to review with your crew, or to use as reference when you see an unfamiliar helmet sticker (or want to be clear with a customer what you're looking for and what is required).

Also, on competition day, tech is also responsible for proper car numbers....so take that into account and work with the drivers to get them proper numbers before their run (of course use some common sense judgement here and provide a little customer service for those that don't have blue tape or whatever). The numbers are covered in the rule document above.

I can email or FB Messenger the cheat sheets to you just so you have them.

Plus you got to learn to post for yourself on the forums. ;)

Thanks Randy. Fixed it.

And I agree with Sean, participating in this forum should be done first hand.

Damn it!!!!

And I'm also an option as chief of tech going forward. I've done it many times.

Thanks,

Ok, hmm, late notice to the posted schedule for you to be there both days.

I have a replacement for you lined up for Saturday now posted.
