Last of the chrome bumper cars.
Burgundy roadster w/ hardtop (no soft top).
Good solid car, no rust. Many recent replacements including; Michelin tires, fuel pump, brakes, brake hoses, cooling hoses, full tune up. All new fluids. Rebuilt SU carbs & distributor.
Semi faded paint, cracked dash, worn door sills, muffler shot.
Drives well.
$5,500 o.b.o. may take motorcycle as partial trade.

You need this. Plus the muffler is pretty worn out, if your wife starts complaining just rev it up.

I'm blowin' it out $3,500. Must go.
At this price you need it just to beef up your car collection.

If I had $3,500 I'd buy it for a daily driver till I get my 65 B on the road.

It's 60's British technology. What more do you need to know?Michael Palero wrote:That's a cool looking car. How reliable are they?

I can vouch for the fun factor. This is the car the Miata was modeled after (I'm just guessing here). And it's a classic. I believe John said it was the last year of the chrome bumpers. When they went to the government mandated bumpers, it was the beginning of the end. UGLY doesn't begin to describe them.
As a bonus, these are very basic and easy to work on.
Buy it now before it's too late.

Re: For Sale '74 MGB
It's not that they are unreliable, they just require some tlc... Weekly if not Daily ;) But it's all about the joy of driving.
Other than having to buy another set of tools (Whitworth wrenches and sockets and British Standard taps and dies) they are very simple to work on. The 74 may not need Whitworth stuff but my 65 does.
