Yes! Without hesitation; the only shop that I'd let touch my Miata: Hiro's, in Costa Mesa. The owner's name is Koji; a former CSP competitor in our region.

I believe Steve Lepper, owner of Gearhead's Garage is fairly well-versed in the Miata as well.

Any recommended Miata shops further north ... Glendale/Burbank, Pasadena, etc

Koji is worth the drive; he is VERY meticulous - you know how you Japanese are! :D ;)

Thanks all, it's not for me (not an old BMW) but for a friend that just moved from bay area. The car is for Spec Miata racing so not Solo type stuff, seems with all the Miata's at the solo events somebody would have a good souce.

I do a lot more than Solo cars, so if he needs prep work for a Spec Miata, have him send me a message with his needs: bossman at gearheadsgarage dot com
