I built the car with National Competition intended. I will be driving this car until the 2011 National Championship in Lincoln, Nebraska then i will release this car. So I am putting this car on SCCA forums to feel out the buyers. I have driven this car for the past 4.5 years and would love to see this car continue its successful record in the hands of a fellow autocrosser.

I am proud to say that i have the suspension setup spot on for both low grip and high grip lots. I make no changes when racing at different venues and allows the driver one less variable to worry about. Any additional notes about setup will be transferred to the new owner.

I may have missed a few points and if there are any further questions you can ask me on this thread or PM.

Why would you move to a more expensive car in a slower class????

because RACECAR?

tired of daily driving a "shitbox" around with no radio and no air conditioning. Plus i needed a newer car anyway. I can't justify having two cars let alone two autocross vehicles. Plus, how can i become a better driver/tuner if im stuck with the same platform for so long? :gpower: STR is very exciting with all the talent around the country coming aboard. Once all the cars are prepped properly and the drivers get faster because of it, it should be a very competitive and entertaining class like ST is.

These days, almost without exception, STR is a quicker class than ST. And I can relate about going with a car that's a better daily driver. I had my MR2 Spyder set up pretty well, but I wanted a new challenge, a car with some actual storage space, some additional bhp for HPDE open track days....plus, I've always wanted a Vette (that's Corvette, not Chevette. ). The Chevy is just a better all-'rounder, and more fun to cruise around in on the weekends.

Also, I'm at that advanced age where I appreciate a completely stock exhaust!! (To me, Corvettes are burbly enough in stock form.)

Thanks for clarifying that. Cruising around on the weekends is certainly more appropriate in a Corvette:

Nice! That's the real Corvette mascot, not that stupid Jake skull thingie. And my new car does seem far boatier than the MR2.

$6500 is WAY WAY WAY less than what the car that finished 4th at nationals sold for at the event (Jon's car finished 3rd). Its way less than I'd sell my car (finished 6th). And its surely way way way way less than the car that finished first.

You can't find a cheaper way in to a fun and hugely competitive class. And these cars are a blast to drive, handle co-drivers well, and have about the cheapest tire budget in the sport. And they can be driven to events.

I don't get why this car didn't sell within minutes of posting. Somebody grab it! Preferably somebody who drives slow. ;)
