WTB: 13" x 7" wheels, 4x100 (miata and others)

Post by Brian Linn »

WANTED:
Looking for a set of 13" x 7" wheels with 4x100 bolt pattern for road racing. 4x100 fits Miata and some others.
If you have a set or 3-piece wheels that are 13 x __, and I can replace the outers, we may be able to work a deal.

If you know of other sites that I might have some luck in posting this, please let me know.

Thanks,
Brian Linn

You going to the Runoffs now?

Here are some 13x8, but the centers don't look like they would let the brakes cool very well: http://www.sccaforums.com/forums/forumi ... cope/posts" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You know you want to order a set, these even clear 1.8 Miata brakes.

No Runoffs for me this year - but if I were going, my car would be in your trailer! Those 13x8's are Keizer's, and I've heard of people having troubles keeping the tires on the bead - and a sudden lose of pressure.
Yongblod's may be to rich for me - but I'm looking. When I find some 13" wheels, I'm going to try the new 13" Hoosier radial slicks and see if they can survive a race with a 2200lbs car. Getting dialed-in for next year...

I have heard mixed reviews on the Keizer's as well - but most of the problems I have heard were related to careless tire techs. I hope they are safe, we picked up a used set of 15"s for Philip's STU build.

When you drop from 15" to 13" I suggest starting with a harder compound, there is a lot less rubber to soak up the heat. I ended up having to switch to the 475 GY, the 430 came up just a few laps short. ;)

Yes. Willow Springs is tough on the left front, and -.75 camber was a bit too much for the 13"s, they are much happier at -.5.

A better view.

You are on Bias-Ply slicks with those camber settings? The Hoosier Radial slicks ( I use the R75"s) need the same camber as an A6/R6.

I don't think so, but I recall reading somewhere that the new radials were faster than the bias even though they are narrower. What did you find out about the Avons?

I have a set of 13x7 Revolutions 9#ish, in decent shape, true and no curb rash, but showing their age (needing some polishing up) $200, and I can deliver them to someone in Lincoln, and they can bring them back to california.

Keith-
Any photos? Please send to brianlinn at gmail-dot-com. Sounds like a deal that I can't pass up. Possible to ship them prior to the Nationals?

Can you tell me the backspacing or offset of the wheels?
Thanks,
Brian

Brian, the wheels are 4 inch backspace, photos on the way. Shipping can probably be arranged.
