FS: HS prepped 2005 Mazda3s - $6k

Post by Mark Hazboun »

I am putting my HS Mazda3s with the NA 2.3L 5speed up for sale on craigslist soon, but I thought I would give first dibs to the solo community. It is a great fwd training car for the beginner soloist. It is also good for those who are looking for a single reliable car that can do both daily driving and solo.

It is competitive at the regional level and west coast national tour events because it seems all of the HS Minis are on the other side of the country. It did win first place at 2014 San Diego and Crows Landing National Tours. I drove it out to Lincoln this past summer and quickly realized I had no chance against fully prepped HS Minis. This car is supposed to be good in STF, though. I don't want to drop the cash to convert it over to STF and besides I have too many cars.

It has Koni Sport Single Adjustables with factory Koni valving, a Tripoint Street Rear Sway bar (3 adjustments), and I have a set of Mazda Millenia wheels (in pictures) which are the lightest 16X6.5" 5x114.3 wheels with the right offset that you will find. I think they are between 13-14lbs. I was running a 205/45R16 on them, but they are done now.

I replaced the factory alloys with 2012 Mazda3 alloys for daily driving. The rest of the car is fully stock with new OEM brake pads on the front and I have a set of OEM rear pads to give you as well. I always ran Mobil1 with a Purolator PureOne Filter, and Redline MT-90 in the tranny.

Options include 6CD in dash radio, leather package, cruise control, power windows/mirrors/door locks, moon roof, fog lights, A/C blows cold. It doesn't have ABS, traction control, or any of that nonsense. I also have a HiddenHitch Receiver (I only used to attach my bike rack), the factory rear sway bar, and the old shocks.

The interior is in good shape and the exterior has some minor scratches/scuffs from driving on track. And I cracked the windshield last weekend.

I have owned it for a little over 2 years. It had 99k miles when I bought it and it currently has somewhere between 137-138k miles.

Asking $6k. It goes on craigslist after Sunday and I may sell the hitch, swaybar, wheels separately.

I will be coming to the Nov 16 event. If you are really interested, send me a PM and maybe I'll let you co-drive it or do some TO runs.
