hotels by el toro
Anybody have recommendations for decent/cheap hotels close to El Toro for the upcoming event. I know I've read something before on the forums, just couldn't find it. Trying to save gas and wear and tear on my body....

The closest one is the La Quinta Inn right across the freeway. Easy access to food. Not bad. Can be a little noisy. http://www.lq.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Me, I always priceline a place. Look for a 3.5 star for around $48-52 a night. I normally get the Doubletree or the Raddison, sometimes a small drive from near John Wayne Airport.

I have a room booked right now at the Best Western in Lake Forest for Fri. and Sat. 2 queens, fridge, micro, $100 an night. I'm now going to be staying with the family in Newport.
If anyone is interested, lemme know by Monday or I will cancel.

Hey Curt,
I took Randy's suggestion and did the priceline thing. I got a room at the Hilton by the John Wayne airport for $50. I'm going to have to try this priceline thing more often.

Yeah, but you were looking for 1 bed for 1 guy. My BW room, with AAA, was cheaper than Priceline for 2 beds, 4 people...David Crozier wrote:Hey Curt,
