Dr. Basinger OK

Post by Mako Koiwai »

At the last event John said he had been having a bad headache for a while. Of course we said he needed to get an MRI. He saw a doctor a few times, who treated him for Migraines, etc. Last Monday his forehead pain became very intense while weight lifting, so he went home and took it easy. Finally on Wed he started to slur his speech after picking up his wife, who's car had broken down. He went to an emergency room > MRI > emergency surgery to relieve pressure in his skull from internal bleeding due to a ruptured blood vessel! Obviously he had a close call, but he's doing fine. I don't understand why his doctors waited so long to give him an MRI ... at his age ... except to avoid the cost?! He will miss the next Practice event ... and he misses his full court basketball games!

John is a doctor of Mathematics ... and works for the aerospace industry. I believe he's also an author/expert on traffic flow and software that analysis traffic flow.
